Sheer walks through the hallways aimlessly, just wanting to be somewhere other than in his room. Ever since those Havens kids had come there had been lots of things happening. Haku was acting weird, Robin didn't hang out with him as much anymore, and it was hard to go anywhere without seeing those weird twins who seem to be in a relationship or something, that or the red-headed angry girl. Weird twins. Besides all that he'd noticed Tyler acting strangely around Nurse Flock. Could she be up to something? Even though he's walking through the hall and not talking to anyone he shrugs. For whatever reasons he has conversations with himself, and if anyone bothered to watch him they might have been weirded out. To keep himself from thinking about things that aren't any of his business he puts on his earphones and starts playing a song by Skillet. Completely ignoring the other students hurrying to class he sticks his hands in the front pocket of his hoodie and sits down on one of the window ledges. The july sunlight streams in and covers him like a blanket. He pushes a hand through his white hair and scratches his head before pulling it out and fixing the bit of his hair that had broken ranks. He'd been trying to grow his hair down to his shoulders for a while now and had mostly succeeded. The only issue had been his brown roots poking out so last night he'd had to get Robin to dye it for her. The ballet girl was surprisingly good at doing hair, but nowadays it seems like she's good at a lot, especially getting vampires... Feeling cramped and sore from having slept badly the night before he rolls his shoulders and stretches out his arms. The sleeves of his black hoodie come up and reveal at least ten string bracelets encasing his long pale arms. Out of boredom he'd started making them when he'd been staying at his older brothers place and somehow the habit hadn't gone away when he'd left for Castle. Apparently some strategies stick well. He makes a quiet growling sound in his throat, realizing that his mind had strayed back to thinking about his brother, Jaq. When he'd been younger he'd practically idolized Jaq, but when he'd been kicked out of his house by his gracious mother and into Jaq's New York apartment he'd realized that even older brothers aren't the good people they seem to be. So? I can't judge, I'm no better. He thinks dryly and then laughs. So that's what it had taken to make him into his own person? How pathetic. A rough hand taps on his shoulder and Sheer flips his head backwards to look at it's owner instead of taking the trouble to actually turn around. He stares at the short lady in her mid-twenties with brown and auburn streaked hair pulled up in some kind of bun. His dark brown eyes widen for a moment in something that's a bit like surprise. He frowns slightly though it's not his normal grimace and decides to turn around to look at her properly. "What do you want?" He asks casually, even though Ms. Waters has always been his favorite teacher. Sheer tilts his head to the right and leans on his right arm while messing with his hair using his left hand. He brushes against the metal piercing on his ear with to much force and he bites his lip and tries to be more careful in case he accidentally tears one out. That would be annoying. "You have math this period." Ms. Waters says sternly, trying to look at him with as much authority as she can muster. Only 23, Ms. Waters had never been able to properly boss her students around, especially the crazy ones like Sheer, but that sure as heck didn't stop her from trying. She likes Sheer, as irritating as he is to handle, and doesn't want him to end up a stoner in some homeless shelter. Sheer sighs and ducks his head, looking at the ground. His long white hair falls slightly out of position and covers his face. "I don't want to go to math." He mumbles, feeling tired and defeated just by the idea of having to sit through another period. He'd already gone to three of those today. Couldn't that be enough? "You need to go! Don't you want to be able to get out of this school and live your own life?" Ms. Waters says, still trying to reason with Sheer, even though she's been loosing arguments with this kid for about a year. Sheer laughs, a creepy sound, and Waters realizes that she's backed herself into a corner. "I'm a shape shifter. If I have to I'll become some kind of Falcon and live happily. Or I'll be a cat and mooch off of some unwitting family. If it gets desperate... do you know how fast I can run? I could rob three different banks in under 10 seconds." His lips part in a wolf-grin and he lifts his head slightly so one of his heavy-lidded brown eyes is visible through his hair. "I don't worry about myself to much, Ms. Waters." Sheer had been giving her this look for a while and it had never ceased to creep her out, just a bit. Even though she has her own power, slight telekinesis, she'd always been aware that most of her students could kill her at any time. She'd never met a kid who she'd though would actually kill anyone, but she'd never met a kid who came as close to that as Sheer. "Sheer... You don't want to be more successful? Make money?" She sighs, knowing it's hopeless. Sheer bites on the tip of his fingernail. "Not in the least." He says dryly. "Sorry to disappoint." "I'll keep trying to convince you. Get to class or you have detention." "Won't show up." "Then I'll suspend you?" Sheer laughs and jumps off the ledge, landing almost silently. With one hand he pushes his white hair out of his face. "You want me out in the world? Remember those banks." Waters clenches her fists and looks up at the ceiling as if to say 'God give me strength'. "Alright, do whatever." She says, walking away miserably. Once she's gone the cocky expression slides off his face and he sighs. He pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket and looks at it mournfully. He'd planned to skip the second half of classes today in advance and he'd already done and turned in all his work. He'd even gotten his math homework, which the teacher had told him is due tomorrow, finished. Irritated with himself, he shoves the to-easy math homework back in his pocket and slouches through the hallways and towards the garden. Once he gets there he takes one look at all of the awful flowers which someone must of spent hours on and then takes off running to the dorms. He's there in less than a second, not even out of breath or the least bit ruffled. He'd had a dorm room to himself for a while since his last room mate had... yeah. Sheer bites his lip and sits down on his bed, or more accurately, he falls face down onto his bed. "What the hell is this?" He asks himself out loud. He'd been fine this morning and last night and last week. He breaths out and in as slowly as he can, counting up by even numbers to calm himself down. On 8 he bolts back out the door and finds himself back in the hallways. The wooden floor and gold-yellow walls haven't changed, there is still sunlight pooled on the floor and he can still hear the other students talking about some kind of lecture in their classrooms. He growls, sounding more like an animal than like a person. Sheer checks himself, remembering that if he gets to irritated he'll turn into Dark-Sheer, who isn't allowed near the school. Mumbling to himself and wanting to sleep he drags himself through the hallways and onto another ledge. Unwilling to sit up he just lays there on his back because the ledge is big enough for him to sit like that and still have plenty of room. He sighs and puts his headphones back in.

Kerri wandered through the halls alone, invisible. She used her powers to mask her physical presence, and ditched class, not that anyone would notice her absence. Because she was practically non-existent, she spent her free time studying. Sitting in classes for hours listening to the same mundane material she had gone through who-knows-how-many times just wasn't appealing to her right now. She wondered why she was at this so-called school, remembering that her parents said that it was the best for her. Either way, Kerri thought herself as a waste of space, an unwanted being. She let out a silent sigh and played with her hair, not knowing how to entertain herself further than abandoning the lectures. She then witnessed a white-haired boy and Ms. Waters bickering. She leaned against the golden walls and watched. What else was there to do? She stood and watched, expecting an average rebel versus teacher talk and got bored when the rebel left. She wondered about him. Pondering if he was as frustrated as she was, with nothing to do. Starting to walk away, she was stopped herself in her tracks. The rebel flashed back, as if he teleported back. The guy had striking white hair, multiple piercings, and pretty good looks. Her curiousity ate at her mind, with a hunger for more details. She debated whether to leave in silence or approach him. 'What would I do if I left?' she thought, and decided to walk up to him, invisible that is. She concluded that she would approach him with her invisible powers at work, so that if she would happen to chicken out, then she could just tip-toe away, and it never happened. With silent steps, she slowly got closer and closer to him. Finally, they were face to face. Drawing in a silent but deep breath, she released her abilities and became visible, waiting for his reaction.

(lol, thanks! It took me so long, but this next post will be shorter.)
Sheer sighs, his face relaxing into a bored expression. The hairs on the back of his neck go up but he ignores the feeling, sure that no one will bother him. Waters is usually the only one to bug him on a regular basis. Seeing that girl appear only a few inches from his face, his eyes widen in surprise so that his irises look about half their normal size. He acts mostly on reflex and sits up, accidentally banging heads with her. He rubs his forehead with one hand, obscuring half his face, and looks at her with one eyes. "Who're you?" He asks, not sure if he wants to be mad at her or not. At least it's something to cure the boredom.

Kerri was surprised by how surprised her victim was and giggled, not expecting what happened next. Their heads collided painfully, creating a bruise on her pale face. To think, she could've avoided this with a force field. "Owie" She said, losing her balance. "I-i-i'm sorry for startling you...." Rubbing her head, she regained her balance, peering up at him curiously with her gray eyes. "I'm Kerri, and I was just bored. What about you?"

Sheer glances at the ground, ashamed and angry because he hurt her. "Sorry, I just sat up on impulse." He growls. His eyes slide up so he's looking at her again. "Kerri? I'm Sheer. Don't worry about surprising me or anything... it was my fault.

Kerri shook her head, her pin straight blonde hair flying with. "Nah....it's fine. No harm really done." Her hand retreated from her forehead, revealing whatever was on there. She couldn't see for herself anyway. "See? I'm fine!" She smiled somewhat pathetically. "So..... what are you doing out of class?"

Sheer's eyes lock onto Kerri's head but don't see any sign of a bruise. His shoulders slump slightly because he doesn't know for sure if that means that the bruise won't just show up later. Slowly he focuses back in on what she's saying. He shrugs, not really knowing how to answer her question. He tries anyways. "I already know what they're teaching so I didn't go." He mutters after a few moments pass. To get comfortable he scoots backwards and leans against the wall. The grey v-neck t-shirt he's wearing is pulled tighter around his neck by the movement and he tugs at the collar. "And what about you? Why's someone as innocent and school-girl-like as you skipping?"

Kerri smirked at his remark. "So the school rebel already knows all of the curriculum?" She said, backing up to lean on the wall next to him. "I guess I'm here for the same reason you are...it's not like anyone will ever notice me missing anyway" She shrugs, pulling a loose strand of hair back in place behind her ear. "But ditching is almost as boring as actually attending classes...."

Sheer rolls his eyes, frustrated that everyone thinks he's stupid even though it's not an illogical thing to think from the way he acts. "'Course I know it. I don't want to end up working a fast food place and I don't want to be in jail for robbing either." He laughs, hearing he last comment. "That's because you don't know how to ditch properly. If you don't have a reason for ditching, like wanting to play World of Warcraft, then you end up bored and in trouble."
(he's being a hypocrite because he doesn't have a reason ^^)

Kerri laughed at his defensive reaction. "I'm sorry I judged you, but I dont see you doing anything exciting around these halls during class?" She challenged, "Are you a pro ditcher? I saw you bickering with Ms. Waters earlier, what was that about?"
(lol xD i like sheer....sheer's cool....and funny xP )

(really? Awesome! thank you ^^)
Sheer snickers, closing his eyes for a moment. "Don't worry about it, everyone else does." He gesticulates a bit, waving his right hand in a 'forget it' motion. He opens his brown eyes again and grins like a wolf at her. "My reason was that I wanted to sleep on a window ledge, couldn't you tell? I'm not a pro, just experienced. Waters is worried about my future even though I'm to smart to have one. So she won't leave me alone." He shrugs like it's nothing. "Have you been stalking me or something? You're better at it than I am, which is an accomplishment."

Kerri shrugged, "So you're a pro stalker?" she asked smiling back at him. "No, I haven't been stalking you. It's just hard to miss your white hair in these empty halls." Shaking her head no, she then looked at his white hair. It was cool, different. Her own hair could probably pass for white, but it was naturally platinum blonde. She wondered if he really wanted to take a nap, instead of talking with her. Being her self conscious self, she was afraid of boring him further. "Should i leave you to your nap?"

"Yup." Sheer says with fake-arrogance. "My hair... is it really that noticeable?" He had dyed it to break free of his old wimpy personality, something he'd accomplished quite well, not really to make himself stick out like an albino rat. He looks over at her, kind of startled out of his thoughts again. He shakes his head almost imperceptibly. "Do whatever you want, not that you made me wake up I won't be able to get back to sleep any time soon. (he means he wants her to stay but won't admit it.)

Kerri's eyes met his, "Really?" she said somewhat shocked. "Then I'll stay....I guess" She didn't see what else to say or do, then she suddenly remembered him vanish then appear out of nowhere. She wondered if he had invisibility too. "Hey Sheer, What's your gift? Besides stalking that is." She joked, talking to him was getting easier and easier. The more they talked, the easier it got. She smiled at herself, happy she was making a new friend, and friends were extremely rare in Kerri's world.

Sheer shifts so he's leaning his elbow on his knee while he's still leaning against the wall and hides his mouth behind his wrist so she won't realize that he's still laughing quietly at what she just said. "Yeah, stalking's my only gift." He says lightly. "Joking. I can move as fast as I want to and I can... shape shift to an extent." The laugh dies away and he grimaces at the floor, not wanting to think about Monster-Sheer at the moment. That might wake him up, you know? It's not to good to do that. "So, what class are you skipping?"
