Sheer's face reddens slightly and he tilts his head towards the floor a bit more and stuffs his hands in his pockets. "Thanks." He says, unwilling to believe that she means it for real. How many art competitions had he lost? "You said you draw? It's only fair that you show me something you've done." He wonders if she'll want to show him, after he'd done his best to bedazzle her with his own talents. Not that he's much good at impressing people, he's got more arrogance than talent, in his opinion. "Promise I won't judge. And I bet you're good." He adds, looking at her again with an easy going smile that only shows the barest hint of his teeth. Hesitantly, he takes the painting back, not sure if she's done looking at it but wanting it back all the same, and puts it back where he'd found it.

Kerri chuckled at Sheer's reaction, seeing him turn slightly red. "You're very welcome" she said. She was reluctant to show him her own drawings, they weren't nearly as vivid as his paintings. Most of her works were black and white, she thought it looked classier that way. She was also afraid that color would mess it up. It was only fair though, so she nodded in agreement. "Okay, Let's go to my room"
~in kerri's room~
Her walls were a dull shade of gray with a blue tint, she was too lazy to paint them. Either way, all you could see were her random sketches. There were sketches of birds, trees, stacks of books, almost everything, but there were mostly flowers and characters from books she has read. She didn't have a room mate, "So....ermm.....this is my room..." she said awkwardly. She then remembered her favorite drawing. Afraid of anything happening to it, she hid it under her bed. "Oh....here's my favorite, i think it's my best." She got on her knees and reached under her bead and pulled out a large poster board. Colored on the board with chalk was an image of a girl sitting against a tree reading the novel "To Kill a Mocking Bird". She was surrounded with flowers. She lied the drawing on her bed, afraid to cause a chalk dust mess. Chalk looked beautiful, but it was extremely messy. She remembered when she finally finished this piece, she looked like a run down, pale, rainbow. She sat down next to the picture, waiting for his reaction.

Sheer follows Kerri to her room and looks around. "Wow, you've practically drawn all over all the walls." He says, craning his neck to look at all of them. "It's a nice room, not as cluttered and messed up as mine." He walks over to look at her drawing and looks at it silently for a moment. He doesn't have to take much of a look to know that it's better than anything he could do with chalk. "It's good, very good." He admits. "The colors... You did a good job showing the sunlight and the shadows. And the detail, it's good."

"Thanks...." she murmured. He was the first one to ever compliment her talents concerning art. He was the first one she's showed his art to. "Looks like we have something else in common besides ditching class....Art" They definitely had different styles in art, but they both expressed themselves through art. That was the real purpose of art anyway. She stood up, returned the chalky image under her bed, and smiled at him.

"Yeah, guess so." Sheer says, leaning against the doorframe. "But I don't think you should try and follow my lead in ditching." He chuckles, not really finding it funny. He didn't sleep much at night so he hung out in the library, reading, doing homework, sometimes he painted. After putting so much effort into classwork outside of class he had reasoned that it was only fair the he skipped to take naps on windowsills. It provided the world with balance. He pushes his white hair out of his face, again, and grins at Kerri. "You know, since you don't seem to have any pressing matters at hand, I'd like to play a game." He just barely stops himself from laughing. Behind his back he stretches his fingers, realizing that he still has control, and Sheer forces himself to relax. Today is normal, see? He tells himself. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill. "Before I came here my friends really liked to play truth or dare, want to play? I promise that I won't back out of anything and I'll even take the first turn." Even though he intends to make it a PG game he kind of hopes that she'll be a bit scared, not to much of course. He smiles slightly.

Kerri ignored Sheer's comment about following his lead with ditching class. She shrugged at his remark. Lately at castle, she fealt like everything was routine. The days seemed to go by the same recycled script. She grimaced at the sound of truth or dare. what else was there to do though? Reluctantly, she nodded in agreement. "Truth or dare?" she challenged him. She imagined that he would pick dare, but Sheer wasn't predictable from what she has learned today. She racked her brain for interesting dares and truths for him to unravel. She wasn't the most creative, but more artistic. She then started to over think, worrying about what he would ask her. She tensed at the thought, and her mind was set on picking truth. She didn't really have any deep rooted secrets that she thought of at the top of her mind. Another thing was bothering her. Her room. She didn't really feel comfortable, despite the room belonging to her. Before Sheer could choose between truth or dare, she had a proposal. "Do you mind if we go onto the roof? Or the garden?" she spent a lot of her free time on the roof. She liked how the air up there was crisp. She definitely preferred it over the garden, which was plastered with the scent of roses. All the pollen in the air made her nose crinkle awkwardly, but she didn't really mind that much. 'Sheer has probably been all over the school', she thought. With his super speed, he's probably discovered some secret passages in the school also. Anyway, she just wanted to escape the enclosed space of her room, which was scented with pencil lead and art material. Word count: 284

Sheer notices her upset expression and wonder if maybe he should have been more tactful and suggested a better game. He had missed playing a good game, he hadn't in a while, but if she wasn't into it then it wouldn't be that much fun. When she agrees he relaxes. If she didn't want to play then it was her fault for not saying no, not his. He grins at the question. He doesn't much feel like explaining life secrets this early in the game so he opts for something easy. "Dare. And seriously, pick something good." He laughs. While he waits for her to think of something he fiddles with the bracelets on his arm.
"You wanna go to the roof? Sure, there's not much truth or dare stuff we can do all alone in a room anyways. Unless you like that kind of stuff..." He grins, flashing his teeth. "But we'll leave the room... if that's what you want." Sheer turns on his super speed, lifts up Kerri, and then flashes her to the roof. Only a little bit ruffled by the wind, he puts her gently on the ground. "Here we are, what's my dare?" He sits down next to her cross-legged and waits eagerly.

(I just noticed that u write in present while I write in past...is there a rule about which tense we write in?)
Kerri squeezed her eyes shut as they soared to the roof of the many stories high Castle. "impressive...." she muttered, out of breath. They were just in her cramped dorm a second ago, but now they were on the roof, overlooking the scenery. She then pondered about how to exploit his gift to her advantage for the upcoming dare. She looked down from their high position, spotting the Headmistress at work, scrawling down what seemed like mindless notes on a clipboard. She thought about making him run down the building to bother her, but decided againt it. It wouldn't be any fun, they would end up in trouble. They were ditching class to play truth or dare. The joke could be interesting, but the prank wouldn't be worth it. She walked over to the other side of the roof and peered down. She then saw Brooke, who looked utterly lost. She frowned, feeling sorry for her. "hey Sheer, I dare you to run down the side of the building and bring Brooke up here..... She looks lost...." She was a little worried that he would think her dare was dull, but what could she do. Friends came first in her book. If he wanted some excitement, then maybe he could just bring her up without saying a word and freak her out.

(no rule, I'm just tense-challanged and this one is the easiest for me to write in. Do whatever you want.)
"Thanks." Sheer chuckles. While he waits he flops onto his back and stares up at the clouds. He'd never been able to paint them for some odd reason. His clouds always turned out crappy and more like cartoons than anything decent. He rests his head on his arms and enjoys how warm the stone floor is. "Huh? You dare me to abduct some girl?" He asks. "That's illegal." Sheer slowly gets up, stretches his arms, and then walks over to the edge of the roof to peer over at Brooke. "Do you mean that girl? She's hot."
Deciding to make it exciting, he cannonballs off the side of the roof, falling for an entire second before uncurling from the ball and breaking into his super-speed. He stops in front of Brooke so his momentum won't hurt her when he picks her up and scoops her up in his arms without any warning. He holds on tightly to her arm with one hand and accidentally ends up with his other arm around her waist. He hadn't meant to be such a creep but he decides that he'd loose the element of surprise if he stopped and adjusted. About a second later he puts Brooke gently on the ground next to Kerri. "There, now you've got to pick truth or dare." He tells her.

"Wheerrreeeesss ammm IIIII? " Brooke whined. She was sick of herself getting lost and missing class. It was bad enough that she had a short attention span, but not being there to hear the lesson was probably a lot worse. She then heard a high whistle, like something or someone was flying by fast. And that's when it happened. She was hoisted to the top of Castle, and she was standing next to Kerri. They were buds, but Brooke had trouble finding any words to say at the moment, despite her loud mouth most of the time. Her eyes were blank as she tried to take in what just happened and her new location. She stared at Sheer, trying to configure the sudden transportation but just couldn't. "Sheer.....? Kerri.....? Wha juss happenn?" Her words were slurred with surprise, adrenaline jumping around in her. "Illegal, yet you did it." said Kerri to Sheer, eyeing him curiously. She then turned her attention to Brooke. She fixed up her hair, which was baffled by the wind and sudden ascension. "Wassup Brooke? You looked lost down there but now you look....." Kerri giggled. "What are you doing out of class anyway?" Brooke strived to be a good girl, and Kerri knew that. They were acquaintances, not really the best of friends, but they have helped each other out once. The 2 were awfully different with how they handled things and people. Brooke was more, innocent, open, and naive, while Kerri was a castaway on lonely island. She thought of Brooke as a sort-of role model, a person she wanted to be more like in a sense. That's part of the reason why she had Sheer bring her up here, to spend more time with her and learn from her. Brooke, of course, wasn't aware of this. She wasn't completely aware of anything really. (lol to each her own)
Sheer sits down again and leans against the stone wall of the roof. "Hey, Brooke. Now that you're here do you wanna play truth or dare?" He says casually, holding up a hand as a way of greeting. "What do you mean, 'and yet I did it'? It's truth or dare - I don't wimp out." He laughs a little, enjoying how flustered the girl looks. His favorite part of truth or dare was usually the flustered looks people had when they were unwittingly dragged in.
"Oh, Kerri, you need to pick truth or dare. I already know what I'm going to make you do." He points out. "You've got a time limit now. Ten." He hurriedly tries to decide on both a truth and a dare. Most of the ones that he liked to make people do were kind of weird or illegal. He wants to get her involved in the game, not scared witless, so he saves those ones for later. The ones left were stupid things like making someone climb to the ground from a two story window or lick syrup off the floor. He sighs and distractedly messes with one of his earrings. "Nine.... Eight." He looks at Brooke and Kerri talking and decides that he should just pick one and hope she won't hate it.

"Oooh! Truth or dare! I love that game!" Brooke squeeled happily, forgetting she was abducted. The statement was only half true. She liked watching others get challenged, but not so much herself. Then again, she like all games so she was down to playing. "There isn't any point of going to class late and getting yelled at now anyway!" She hated getting yelled at, and she wanted to have some fun. She then turned to get another perspective of the roof, and found herself near the edge. She looked down impulsively and suddenly got dizzy. She edged to the center of the roof slowly and plopped down onto the ground criss-cross-apple-sauce, refusing to go anyway near the edges. She was deathly scared of heights. If the trip up the side of the building was any longer than it was, she would've thrown a huge tantrum.
Kerri was amazed at how high Brooke's level of optimization was. She could literally take a tragedy and turn it upside down somehow, someway. She then watched Brooke prance to the center of the roof with amusement. Shaking her thoughts away, she realized that Sheer was waiting for her to choose, and counting down from 10 also. "TRUTH!" she shouted, a little more loudly than she should have. She saw birds flying away from her obnoxious volume and started to redden.

Sheer laughed, finding it funny how ridiculously excited Brooke was. She probably doesn't know what she's getting herself into. Poor girl. "There isn't much point to going to class even if you are early. Your turn is after Kerri, alright?" He focuses back on Kerri, sizing up how willing she would be to talk about certain things. "Don't scare away the birds, it's mean." He jokes to buy himself a little bit more time to decided. He doesn't want to ask her anything to weird or personal the first time in case it made her want to get revenge on him or worse, quit the game. "Okay... um, what's the most disturbing dream you've ever had? Not scary disturbing... like, weird disturbing." He felt like he had to clarify in case she just said something run-of-the-mill like dreaming about being chased around by a guy with a chain saw. He'd had those dreams and they weren't really that disturbing once he got used to them. He picks up a small piece of rock and uses it to scrape white lines on the stones around him, trying to give her time to come up with a really good answer.

Kerri grimaced, remembering two dreams in particular. One consisted of her, and nothing else. Just emptiness. She was used to being alone, that was part of the routine. But in that dream, there was the eeriness in knowing that you really are completely and utterly alone. It was one of her greatest fears. The other dream was just...disturbing. Perfect for the situation at hand. "Do you know that movie, The Incredibles? It's my all-time fave..." she said that hesitantly, hoping that he wouldn't think of her as a total dork. "Well, in the dream....I was Violet... but my mom wasn't the flexible lady, well she had the same powers but...she was a different person." She paused for dramatic affect. Brooke was staring at her intently, with her wide innocent blue eyes. "My mom was Lady Gaga...it was weird... she kept taking my dolls with her rubber band arms, trying to eat them..." Kerri shivered at the image of Lady Gaga biting her old barbie doll's head ferociously.
Brooke started laughing hysterically, rolling onto her back and holding her stomach. "I wish I could be meet Lady Gaga! Even in dream form! Did you hear her sing live?", Brooke sat up, stopped laughing, and sighed. "If I met Lady Gaga, I'd ask her so many questions." She stared at the sky in admiration "She has an amazing voice and awesome talents. She's a really good soprano and has a very wide range too...."
Kerri couldn't help but laugh at Brooke's reaction, her laughter was contagious. She was glad she could make her smile. "Well.... I think Lady Gaga is a creep." She said pointedly. The dream took place the night after she had seen Lady Gaga on the Letterman Show and he asked her about her preshow rituals. They were biting off barbie doll heads. Strange woman...

Sheer stares at Kerri and grimaces. "That's pretty horrible." He admits. He'd never been a huge fan of Lady Gaga except for during dances. Some of her faster songs were easy to dance to and he liked to laugh at all of the people who thought that they could sing along, grind, and not trip over anyone else all at once. When Brooke suddenly laughed he jumped slightly then started messing with his bracelets to hide it. "Brooke... if Lady Gaga was cabalistically eating your toys then why would you want to interview here?" He laughed slightly more because the two girls were laughing than because he thought it was funny. "Alright, Brooke. You're turn. Truth or Dare?" He kind of hoped that one of them would pick dare soon because he wanted to force them to go fountain hopping. Castle didn't have a non-crowded pool so jumping in fountains was the next best thing, as long as none of the teachers caught him. He hadn't been doing that lately because sitting alone in a fountain always looked kind of sketchy. Weirdly enough, if a girl did it on a dare it was just kind of funny.
