Brooke giggled. "Oh well, it's not like me and Lady Gaga are having tea time together anytime soon." , she said somewhat wistfully. "Anyway, I pick...." She paused to consider the consequences of each choice. Truth seemed easier to her, but sometimes truths could be awkward or ruin the light mood. ".....Dare?", she concluded questioningly, her English accent escaping more than usual. "Yes, Dare. It'll be fun, won't it?" She hopes that Sheer goes easy on her, but not to easy. She thought back to the first time she met him in the gardens. She had challenged him to a race at the sound of his super speed, and he had let her win. She thought of him as an extreme guy, that was also considerate of others. She admired him for those traits, which were a unique pair. She just thought being around Sheer was pleasant.
Kerri sat and anticipated the dare silently. She was a little surprised that Brooke chose dare, because of her cowardliness, but she was also unpredictable. "This otta be interesting..." She mused, wondering if Brooke would accept the upcoming challenge. she was also curious about the dare the Sheer would manifest. Sheer was also sort of unpredictable. Kerri thought of him like Dash from The Incredibles, her favorite movie. Super fast and excitement-loving.

Sheer grins, glad that Brooke had pretty much picked what he wanted her to. He had actually picked an easy dare for her, he wasn't trying to traumatize her or anything and he had to keep in mind that they didn't have increase agility like him. Still, even nice dares like the one he had in mind were more interesting than just doing truth over and over again. As much as he wanted to make the two girls admit their biggest secrets... seeing them do weird stuff was more fun. "Awesome. I dare you to go splash around in the courtyard fountain. And... you have to go completely under at least once." The biggest fountain that Castle had was in the courtyard, it was almost like a really decorative, shallow pool. The best thing about it was that even though a few classrooms had windows to the courtyard no one from the office would be able to see them unless they walked outside to the actual courtyard or the open-air hallways next to it. The last thing he was in the mood for was for Ms. Rivers to start nagging him about college preparations and being responsible.

Kerri grimaced, relieved that this wasn't her dare. She peered at Brooke, who was surprisingly eager to take the challenge. "LET'S GO GO GO!!" she shouted, jumping with excitement. Kerri sighed, looking at the number of fklights of stairs they had to walk down till they reached the courtyard. "we better start for the stairs if we wanna get there before the sun starts to set..." she said exasperated. Brooke was buzzing with excitement, she automatically sprinted for he stairs, tripping over her own feet in the process. She has always loved the water. She believed that if she was to be an elemental, she would manipulate water. She admired it for its healing abilities and impeccable strength. She couldn't wait to reach the fountain. Hardly holding onto her anticipation, she urged her friends to follow. Kerri walked down the stairs mundanely playing with her hair. She waved her hand at Brooke's urging. She was going to pace herself. Her hair was almost as white as Sheers, but she thought that his hair probably wasn't natural, unlike her own hair. It was a platinum blonde-ish color. She considered coloring her hair, to get people to notice her, but she decided against it, saying that she would always be cursed with the veil of invisibility that enveloped her. She could hardly believe that Brooke and Sheer could see her, as a friend none the less.

Sheer slowly gets up and watches the two girls head down the stairs. He had meant to offer to take them down himself but they seem so eager to take the stairs that he decides to let it go. He ambles over to the side of the roof that faces the courtyard and jumps on top of the low wall that was meant to prevent idiots from falling over. The white-haired teen steps off the side of the wall and then uses the windows below to serve as handholds to top his fall. He lands almost up to his knees in ivy and trudges out of it, ripping up the plants when he gets irritated with them. After a few seconds he successfully makes it onto the courtyard and sits down on the side of the fountain.
The fountain was probably worth more than a small car. It has a simple shape, a giant circle, but it is almost three feet deep and when all the little water fountains and light inside are turned on they slowly move and change the pattern each day. Only rich people would think to put expensive machinery inside a fountain. Sheer takes off the black hoodie and dumps it on the ground so he's left in only grey blue-black skinny jeans and a grey sleeveless shirt. He stretches and lies down on the side of the fountain. He is so tired today, he needs to focus on what he is doing instead of thinking. If the game of truth or dare was enough of a distraction he would forget about everything else for a while and then there would be no problem.
The sun moves out from behind a cloud and he fishes with one hand for the pocket in his hoodie that has his aviators. He knowns he looks a bit like a dork when he wears them but he doesn't really care because his brother bought them for him. That had been a while ago, Jaq had taken him to the mall and when Sheer had tried them on on a whim his brother had ended up getting them for him. "You look like an idiot." Jaq had laughed while paying. "But if you grow your hair long those glasses will look pretty cool." Sheer puts his arms behind his head for a pillow and waits for the two girl to get down the steps.

Brooke finally reached the fountain, gasping for air and sweat on her forehead. She then saw Sheer waiting, who probably got her eons ago without breaking a single sweat. "Oh yeah.... Super speed...", she said with an undertone of patheticness. She waited for Kerri, who came down minutes later. "Sorry to keep you guys waiting", Kerri apologized sheepishly. "Go ahead Brooke". The challenger nodded eagerly, taking off her shoes. She hopped up on the ledge and spun around to face the center of the fountain, her feet already underwater. She shivered a little, the water was freezing. She drew in a breath, held it in her lungs, and hopped in. She flinched at the cold, but with her swimming experience, she knew the temperature wouldn't bother her once she went under once. Without missing a beat, she went under and swam around in a circle. Once she completed a whole revolution, she resurfaced, gasping for air. She shook her head around like a dog, as her wavy, now darkened hair, flew around. She laughed like a child, splashing around aimlessly. "Best. Dare. Everrrr!!" she exclaimed. She then took a look at her dry friends. "You guys must be so jealous" she mused "here's a taste of what you're missing!" with that, she threw water onto Sheer, hoping he wouldn't just evade the water with a speedy escape. She then splashed Kerri, soaking her head to toe. Word Count: 236

Sheer smiles wryly and gets up off the ledge. "Did you enjoy your work out?" He asks, silently laughing at them. "Doesn't matter, get your butt in the water, Brooke." He shoves his hands in his pockets and watches as Brooke dives into the water. She looks like she was having the time of her life, oddly enough.
On the other side of the courtyard a teacher opens the door and starts walking across. Sheer stares at her, wondering if she'll get him in trouble. If it was just him then there would be no problem but the two girls would likely get some kind of punishment. The teacher glances over her shoulder at him and then almost seems to speed up.
He wonders what she thinks he's doing and why she looked kind of scared. He didn't think that he was that menacing. Sheer scratches his head and then decides that, since she's not going to interfere, that it doesn't matter. He's so busy thinking about the teacher that he doesn't notice Brooke splash water over him.
He freezes and stares at the ground, his head bent under the weight of his soaked hair. A shiver goes through him and he starts hyperventilating. Normally he could take the cold but when it was just thrown at him like that it completely broke his concentration. His outline starts to blur and before he can completely loose control he finds himself back in his room. Sheer punches the window, leaving a crack in the glass, and then struggles to put on dry clothes. Neither his phone nor his itouch got to wet but he decides to leave them plugged into the wall, out of harms way.
By the time he's done it's been about two minutes and he sits down on his bed. He'd left without thinking and he wasn't exactly sure how to explain to the two girls why he'd left. He puts a towel over her head and rubs his hair to get it to dry. He checks his phone, it had been five minutes, and then kicks the wall on his way out. He'd have to come up with some convincing lie. He hopes that the girls hadn't left.
He uses his speed sparingly, wary of drawing monster-Sheer out more, and finally ends up back at the fountain. "Sorry. Had to go... check something." He mutters unconvincingly. "Sorry. Brooke, give me a dare, please." He had meant to do truth for the sake of mixing it up, but he's afraid that they would ask him for more information about why he'd left. He didn't intend to bring them into his own problems so he was going to try his best to keep them in the dark. Mostly for their own benefit.

"hmm?" Brooke wondered out loud. When Sheer returned she hopped out of the fountain, clothes clinging to her body awkwardly. Her hair clung to her head and flowed flat onto her shoulders and down her back. She walked up to Sheer slowly and stared up at him for about 2 minutes, trying to guess what he's thinking and what dare to give him. Kerri stared at them silently, wondering the same thing. Brooke suddenly smiled, but not her usual flash of teeth smile, it was a gentle smile. "I dare you..." she started in her child voice that had a slight English accent. "to be happy..." she said, staring straight into his eyes. She heard his song, she was startled. "I'm sorry I splashed you Sheer." she apologized, seeing his dry clothes. She turned to Kerri,"I apologize to you too Kerri.", she muttered guiltily. Kerri simply nodded, she was still confused on what was happening exactly. "it's 'Kay, but imma go change..." She walked to her dorm, reflecting on Brooke and Sheer's actions. She was wondering if this situation was typical, and if she was going to return. She hadn't talked this much in the last year, and now she was pretty exhausted.
Brooke watched as Kerri walked away and then returned her gaze to Sheer, who was a lot taller than her. She poked his cheek and said "Smiiiileeeeee!" with a giggle. She knew what it was like to have a secret that she was ashamed of and didn't want to be judged because of it, and she didnt like it when people started to pry. She wanted him to know that whatever he was hiding, didn't matter to her, and wouldn't change what she thought of him. The past isn't nearly as important as the present, she believed. What she thought about herself was up to her and not how other people saw her, she convinced herself. The well being of others came first, was her philosophy. If he wouldn't smile, or it wasn't genuine then she was determined to sing her smile song, which was pretty lame. But that was the essence of the song that made people smile.

"At least you apologize." Sheer mutters pushing his drying hair out of face. Now that he's dry he feels warm enough and his darker side has pulled a rare disappearing act. Still... "You dare me to be happy?" Sheer stares at the girl and wonders what hole Castle pulled her out off. "Hell, please be more abstract, little girl." The idea of being forced to be happy reminds him slightly of something a his parents had said. Before he had left for Castle they had gone through a brief period of trying to make him bond with them more.
He sighs and smiles slightly. "Alright, does this count? Oh, come right back, don't you dare try and skip out on your turn, Kerri." He yells after her retreating form. If Kerri doesn't come back he is pretty sure that Brooke will do the same quickly enough and then he'll be all left alone. Since Kerri's turn is next Sheer realizes that he has no choice but to wait. He sits down on a space filled with grass and starts absent-mindedly ripping it up. For no particular reason he'd always had the habit. The school gardeners probably hate him.

April pranced through the courtyard, thinking of random things suck as how pretty the sky was and how great the season premier for her favorite tv show was. It was so warm outside, the perfect temperature of 76 degrees, so instead of wearing the school uniform, she was wearing short frayed jean shorts and a purple Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt. She wasn't wearing shoes. She had gotten in trouble for not wearing the school uniform. But she pointed out the in the rule book it says that all students must wear their uniform to class, and didn't say anything about always wearing the uniform, so the teachers reluctantly gave in. April was about to go inside to go find someone to play a card game with when she froze. April could heard voices and saw three shapes over by the fountain. "..dare please." she heard, "I dare you to be... happy." and she also heard the apology and Sheer's reply. She shoved her hands into her pockets and skipped over to the group. "No, that doesn't count as a smile. You have to smile like this!" and she grinned her wide smile. "You have to look genuinly happy, and you don't look uber-happy. You look like someone's soda exploded all over you, and you pretended to smile so they wouldn't feel guilty about shooting you with soda." she pondered what she had said for a moment. "Hmm. That wasn't a very good analogy was it. Well, you get my point. You aren't really smiling." April dropped her smile, mostly because her cheeks were beginning to get tired, and turned to Brooke. "Can I join this Truth or Dare game? It sounds like fun!"she paused "Or would I be intruding?"

Brooke frowned at Sheer's 'smile'. Frustrated, she pinched his cheeks lightly and raised them to form a somewhat smile. She then heard a voice an turned towards April, not letting go. "Of course!" Kerri had just left, and Brooke had a feeling she wasn't returning. She grinned at April. "Hi! I'm Brooke.", she greeted her. "Oh, please excuse my appearance, Sheer dared me to jump in the fountain". she gestured towards the fountain with her head. "and she's right Sheer. Your smile was positively pathetic". She was plagued with guilt and wanted to go back, but yet she didn't wanted to leave Sheer alone, get to know April better, and continue the game, so she put on a normal facade. "Don't make me sing my smile song Sheer....", she threatened.
Kerri looked down from the window, absolutely exhausted. What she saw didn't surprise her. They had just replaced her slot in the game. She didn't really mind, but she couldn't help but notice a pestering feeling in the back of her mind. She wasn't going to return to them. She just plopped down onto her bed after putting on her pajamas, despite the time being way too early for bed time. She was just going to take a nap and reflect about what happened today. It was bizarre compared to her average mundane days of skipping class. She released a sigh and she dwindled into a dream.

Sheer shivers slightly, he hadn't been expecting her to grab his cheeks like that. His brown eyes widen and somehow they look more gold than they did before. He only just stops himself from slapping her out of pure instinct. Sheer reminds himself that hitting her would be like boiling a puppy or tying a dog to railroad tracks to watch the show. All of those things were 'wrong' and immoral and sh-t. After a second or so he relaxes and looks at April. "You can join... but why are youse girls so peppy? Is that a normal girl thing?" He complains, scrunching his dark eyebrows together like he's actually confused.
His phone vibrates in his back pocket and he pulls it out and looks at it for a moment before awkwardly texting since it's hard to do without making his head and he has to look through Brooke's arms. Not long after he sends the text the phone vibrates again and he laughs a little. "Hey, if youse all don't care, Robin's gonna come and play." He tells them, unable to see a reason why they wouldn't want her to come.

"Robin? I haven't met this person but sure!" Brooke nodded eagerly in agreement. She sensed Sheer's reaction to her attitude by hearing his song shift in tunes slightly. She wasn't sure what he actually was thinking, but she could probably bet that he was weirded out. There was a reason for her madness actually. Overcompensation. If she wasn't so bubble, hyper, and peppy, then she would be solemn, monotonous, and depressing. It was just one of her many foibles that she had to just live with. She shrugged the thought away and hopped up onto the ledge of the fountain, turned towards the water to see her reflection. "So, would you guys like to continue our game? Or just hang out else where?" she interrogated. She was pretty flexible so she didn't mind either. She suddenly felt a splash of exhaustion wash over her. She wasn't ready to ake a nap or anything, but she just didn't feel quite as much energy as before. She poked the surface of the water and just watch as the ripples spread and dwindled into disappearance. When the water returned to it's natural state, she sat up and let out a sigh as if she was tired of being tired. She slapped on a cheeky smile and waited for her friends' responses.

"Okay, she says she'll be here soon." Sheer mutters once Robin texts him back. He looks up at Brooke, noticing that she seems more tired than normal, even though she's smiling. "We can do whatever, I don't care." Even though the game had been his idea he isn't up for playing with unwilling participants. If no one wants to do any fun things then the game just sucks. He wonders if Kerri will come back, that would make it four girls to the one him, which would be kind of interesting. He smiles slightly, imagining what kind of impression anyone who saw them would get. Not that it would be true, of course. If Sheer's anything he's honorable.
A while later Robin walks out of the school and goes up to them. She is wearing the school uniform as required along with a white hoodie because she's always cold and her gold hair is braided down her back. "Hello." She says warmly, sitting down next to Sheer. He says hi back and then stares at the rippling fountain water so the girl won't be able to read his expression. It's really a shame that she's with those Havens people more than him now but he guesses that he should be happy with what he gets. "Guys, this is Robin. That's Brooke and April, do you know them?"
Robin bites her lip and frown for a moment. "I recognize you both by sight, but I don't thing I've had a chance to talk to you yet. Nice to meet you, though!"

April glared at Sheer when she heard about his remark on her and Brooke's personalty, "I consider that a sexist remark." she hollered, pointing a finger at him angrily, "What's so bad abut being cheery? Lots of people like having optimistic friends." But then she grinned. "I'm kidding. I'm just like that because it's fun to be happy. You should try it, Mr. Pessimist." She then stuck her tongue out at him playfully and sat down. "I don't care what we do, but I want at least one dare before we go do something else." April said in answer to Brooke's question abut what they wanted to do. When Robin arrived, she smiled warmly at her. "Yeah, I've seen you in the halls a few times, Robin." She shivered as a gust of wind swept through the grounds, showing signs of fall. She shrugged on her jacket, which was a black, fuzzy, cropped hoodie with bear ears on the hood. "Summer's gone." she complained, "And now the weathers getting cold." she scowled at the sky, as if it was that sky's fault for it being cold. "I wonder when it'll start to snow." she pondered, than stood up. "Okay, let's not just sit around and do nothing."

"Hi Robin!" The thrill of meeting a new friend filled Brooke with new energy. She hopped off the fountain and nodded to April. "well then let's just continue the game.." She wasn't able to make interesting enough dares, and Sheer had already given a dare. "Robin! As our newest recruit, you should give April a dare. And make it interesting!" She was practically bouncing with excitement again. As she waited, she took the opportunity to listen to the melodies. Robin's ong was beautiful, just as her appearance was. Otherwise it was somewhat hard to describe, because she had just met this girl. Somehow, her song was compatable to Sheer's. Their tunes manifested some sort of symphony. She wondered if they had known each other for long and what their relationship was. Se was looking forward togetting to know them better as she journeyed through the music that emanated from their minds. Taking a second to listen to April's, she was surprised. It was independent, strong, but lovely at the same time. All of them were unique yet the same in certain aspects. She pondered about how her own song played. She wasn't able to hear her own because there were always other melodies entering her mind, wether from people or animals. There's always music ever. She couldn't dream of life without them.
