Samie grinned at Winry's dying protests. "My dear naive cousin," she said, shaking her head in mock displeasure, "You are a heart breaker. You know that?"

"Oh ok coolio...." Brooke muttered. She put her mask back on, feeling uncomfortable. "Hey Danny" She paused, hesitating to ask him this, "Do you wanna dance? Maybe...?" She felt that was the only thing she could do, since her social skills were so drab. Her dancing was pretty drab also but maybe it would ease up the atmosphere. It would be awkward to her at first, but she felt that moving to the music would fix it. She smiled at him, waiting for his answer.
Angel chomped up her cookie happily, but when it was gone, she was bored. She wandered over to the wall and leaned on it, even though just a second ago she thought it was lame to do so.

"Oh, I like Castle a lot, of course." Rekees murmured, looking at Tyler, but then looking away again. Her shyness was making her wish she could just run away, run away and find someone who she knew. It was odd. Before, she had been able to talk to people fine, like when she had met Sheer or Angel. So why she was suddenly having trouble talking to people was a complete mystery to her. "So how long have you been going to Castle?"

(ah, sorry it's so long... lots to write.)
Robin (present)
Robin rubs at her cheek, feeling embarrassed that she’s blushing. It doesn’t matter to her whether Alu can dance or not but he looks kind of cute, not knowing what to do. She has never seen it herself, but she had heard from plenty of others that Alucard is horribly dangerous when he is angry. Right now she can’t imagine him like that. It seems like he’ll always be like this, but maybe that’s just her own weird way of thinking that is messing her up. Everyone gets angry. He blush worsens as the amusement she’s feeling turns to guilt.
Robin (25 minutes ago) “If you’re hurt, or something’s bothering you, you should tell me. It’s not bad to be strong and do things on your own but I’m strong too.” Sheer says quietly, towering over Robin. He has always been able to make her feel small and safe just by being tall. His eyes are wide and reproachful, uncharacteristically devoid of sarcastic humor, and when he breaths out she can feel the air brush past her cheeks and ruffle the pieces of his hair that hang around his face. “No. Everything is great.” She hears herself say. Her voice has taken on that odd plastic-like quality that it always has when she is insecure. Sheer… I think I’ve just killed you. Suddenly she’s laughing. “Something wonderful has happened. Full of wonder, wonderful, you know. Isn’t it terrible?” Before she can go into hysterics she pushes away from him and tries to disappear into the crowd before he’ll notice that she’s crying. He probably doesn’t understand. Why is ‘wonderful’ a good word? I wonder why this has happened; I’m full of wonder, but how is this good? If she said that to anyone they’d think her crazy
Robin (present)
“Sure, I’ll lead.” I’ll lead us straight to hell. She says, smiling, as she squeezes his hands and turns to the rhythm of the music. Her hands don’t get sweaty when she’s nervous, they slide over Alucard’s skin like dry leaves, lifeless. Over his shoulder she can see Sheer leaning against the wall, casually talking to some other girl. The sleeves of his shirt are rolled up and his bracelets are missing. Without them she can see the bands of scars that go around his wrists where he lost so much skin and muscle that only the bone was left. It all grew back, but not without scars. “Alucard… sorry.” She blurts out, unable to look him in the eyes. Robin lets her hands slide out of his as she tears herself away and sprints towards the bathroom. What a coward I am, running like this. She thinks, but who cares about that? There is no one there, thank goodness. She can’t look at herself in the mirror so she slams the door of the nearest stall open and then fumbles to close and lock it. Once the metal bolt slides into the lock she turns around and pukes into the toilet.
Juliet
“Black blood… that’s not normal for a human.” Juliet mutters. She reaches down absently with one of her hands to touch some of it but her fingers stop an inch away. Immediately she realizes that it would be bad to touch the blood, worse to take it into her body, even if it was just to analyze why it is so strange. Don’t touch this. She thinks and turns to Haku. She lets him slide through her arms and she sinks down to the floor to sit besides him. “Haku, this is your life, don’t let something use it without your permission.” She says softly, repeating something Trip had told her years, or just days, ago.
Sheer
Sheer pushes bother of his hands through his hair, disliking the bright lights that seem to be blinding him on purpose. Robin… what had happened to her? Suddenly the floor spins and he falls against the wall, both of his hands pressed tightly to his face. He slams his palm into the wall and pushes himself away. Not tonight, not with Angel here, not with all of these people. Sorry. He laughs under his breath and shakes his head to dispel the last dregs of disorientation that are plaguing him. Earlier his stomach had hurt, then his lungs, now That Feeling is coming back. He spots Rekees talking to Tyler. She shouldn’t be with him, out of all the people in the world, why is she with him? Forgetting that he should get near anyone he walks over to her and wraps an arm around her shoulder. “Don’t talk to her, you –sshole. You’re not wanted.” He says, grinning lopsidedly. He shakes his head to get his hair back into place and then drags Rekees away. “Don’t get near him, he’s bad.” He tells her while he walks. Not as bad as himself, though.
Evan
“Thanks.” He mumbles, taking the cup of punch from her. The awkwardness is like a cloud hanging around him. What do I do? He asks himself. That’s a stupid question, there’s never been any doubt about what he’s got to do.
Kao
He wraps his fingers around Fivel’s hand, glad that she’s here. Suddenly he feels like he’s missed a step going downstairs. This is just a dance, nothing is wrong other than Flock’s unwanted presence, and that’s nothing new. “Something’s off.” He says, whispering in her ear so no one else will hear. Everything around him seems fake, like a hastily-made cover-up that only exists to hide one thing from view. Suddenly he catches a glimpse of a face that looks so like his own that he could be looking in a mirror. “Evan’s back!” He shouts, so happy that he’s surprised that the whole room hasn’t just broken free of gravity and floated into the sky. Who cares that something is wrong? No one. No one cares and why should they? Evan's back!
Evan sees him, his face lights up, and then it darkens with something Kao can’t read. “Kao, you’re here. Good.” He yells over the sound of the music. Kao disentangles himself from the crowd and heads towards the back where there are not so many people. The empty air feels cool on his skin compared to the stuffy air in the front of the room. He brushes past the guy called Black, who is staring enviously at Tyler for some reason, and just as he does there’s the sound of a gun going off. Black jumps out of the way as quickly as a cat and suddenly Evan is two feet away, looking grimly at him. “So long, brother. Enjoy your girlfriend.” He says, blood spreading like a rose across his chest. Kao’s eyes widen in shock as his twin lets go of the gun and his legs go out from under him and he collapses onto the floor in a tangle of arms and legs.
Behind him someone screams.
Sheer
Ah, look what I’ve done. He thinks as he starts shaking. It’s unlike anything, the shaking; every part of his body feels like it’s coming undone. He wonders what it looks like for the people watching but that curiosity is just an abstract emotion, completely distant from him. His hair will be turning black, his eyes turning white, his skin going white too, like bones. There’s a sharp pain in his back where his shoulder blades are, as something like daggers cuts through his skin and six-foot-long metal wings tear out of the skin on his back. He’s never seen them but when he moves them they feel thin and skeletal. They’re unbelievably strong, though. Everything about this is strong. Monster-Sheer. He’d called it that. His arms shove Rekees away, to hard, he shouldn’t use that much force, it’ll hurt her. If she stays close he’ll hurt her. His skin burns and itches and when he claws at it he realizes that his fingernails have hardened to metal. His skin comes off like wrapping paper on present, under it are black scales and where there are no scales metal spines tear through the skin, wet and shiny with some kind of poison. This must look so weird to someone who doesn’t know what’s happening. He wonders if people are screaming. His face is the same; that much he’s sure of. Monster-Sheer always has the same face as him, the same neck too. The only difference is when he opens his mouth. Sheer stops ripping at his skin when the pain stops, that’s good, though the pain doesn’t feel that bad to him anymore. He looks around him at all of the people. There are so many people! His mouth cracks open into a grin so wide that it looks like his face has been cut in half. Pointed teeth are just visible beneath his lips that have turned as white as his hair was. “Hello, everyone. Would you mind playing with me?” He asks, remembering how his mother had told him to be polite to everyone. No exceptions! Not ever. “You see; they kept me locked in that room, so it’s been a real long time since I killed anyone. I missed this!” His voice, which has been increasing steadily in volume, suddenly reaches a roar. It’s a little kids voice but that doesn’t matter. He laughs until he’s shaking and then turns to the first person in line.

Rekees:
Rekees looked up in surprise when she felt someone's arm wrap around her shoulder. She looked up in surprise, "Oh, Sheer..." Her eyes widened as she heard Sheer speak to Tyler. Wow, he really didn't like Tyler, did he. She squeaked with surprise when Sheer dragged her away, "Sheer...oh, he's bad? I didn't realize, sorry to trouble you." she stumbled as she tried to keep up with Sheer; he didn't let go of her arm, so she just had to try not to trip as she was pulled away.
It took a moment to notice that he was shaking: violently. "Sheer, are you alright? You don't seem ok-" she was surprised as she was shoved into the wall, pain blossoming on her shoulder as it slammed against the wall, "Owww! Sheer, what's going on?" she watched in horror as Sheer began to morph into a...monster human? She had never seen anything like it! So this is why Sheer had been acting so strange- or atleast it was a possibility to why he was acting odd.
She tried hard not to scream, swallowing the shriek that rose into her throat. Instead of cowering against the wall like she wanted to, Rekees ran up to Sheer, ignoring the pain in her shoulder. Avoiding the spikes that had formed on Sheer's body, she grabbed his scaly hand. This was like in a t.v. show. What was it that the hero had done to calm the person? She couldn't remember. All she could do was grip Sheer's hand tightly and say, "Sheer, stop, please, stop." she begged, looking at him desperately as she tried to calm him.
Rekees flinched at his words, tearing up. She had always been an easily scared person, so she couldn't stop tears pooling in her large brown eyes. "Stop, please stop!" she whispered frantically.
April:
April looked up in surprise when she heard a scream. Oh, come on, something bad was happening now? Wow, way to ruin the dance. "Jimmy, we'd better go see what's going on!" she ran off, looking back to make sure that Jimmy was following(sorry for the mini powerplay) When she arrived at the scene, she stood there for a second, stunned. A monster Sheer. What was the world coming to?
April thought hard. She had to come up with an idea, and fast. If Sheer wasn't stopped, then who knew what would happen. But something was odd here. It was definitely odd, the timing of this happening. Which meant that this must have something to do with Flock. But April couldn't worry about that now, she had to deal with monster Sheer.
Well, this is one of the moments when April was grateful she had a power. It would actually be helpful. April flicked her finger, trying to make a barrier of the tables and chairs and everything in the hall between Sheer and everyone else. Rekees was a bit of a problem. "Rekees, get away from him!" April screamed. Rekees just shook her head. Exasperated, she looked around desperately for something that would be useful.

Samie stares wide eyed at the scene unfolding. One minute, everything was fine, it was a typical lame high school dance. Then it was like she blinked, and things were going horribly wrong. She saw Kao crumple to the floor. "FIVEL!" She yells, worried for the safety of her friend. Without hesitation, she grabs Winry's hand. "C'mon Winry, you've got to go help Kao!"
Oh course Thalia's first thought was how Mr. Garroway must regret taking her arrows away now. It's a good thing she always keeps a spare quiver. Unfortunately, it's currently under her bed, in her dorm. As Rekees refused to move away from Sheer, Thalia did the most rational thing in her irrational mind. She jumped, making herself weightless, then bringing all her mass down as her boot connected with metal-thing-Sheer's face. She grabbed the other girl's had. "Come on." She said, jumping over the mismatched barrier with Rekees in tow.
Tyler was about to respond to Rekees' question when Sheer growls, “Don’t talk to her, you –sshole. You’re not wanted.” He watches calmly as Sheer leads her away. Then, as Sheer begins to transform, and Kao falls, he starts laughing. Maniacal laughs, that bubble in his throat and force their way out of his mouth. "You aren't wanted either, Sheer." He says to himself.
Jumping at the sudden chaos surrounding him, Seth looks up (which is easy to do at his tall height) over the crowd. Fear fills him, rooting him to the spot.

Jimmy
"You're right, lets go," he said to April, following her and running straight into the mass of chaos. The blood.. blood everywhere, on every inch of the floor. He looked around, his blue eyes falling on Evan. "..oh, no."
As April comforted Sheer, he made his way through the crowd to find the Headmistress.
Fivel
As soon as her eyes fell on Evan, her blood stopped moving through her veins. She knew what was going to happen, and she knew that this was not going to end well for the Montique twins. She watched, in slow motion, as the bullet made its way into Evan's body, and lodged there. Kao did not move. He had such a look of disbelief on his face, that it pained Fivel to look, so she glanced away, back at Evan. But she didn't know right from left, up from down, Kao from Evan anymore. All she knew is that she had to help this boy, this boy who was laying in front of her, bleeding to death. She didn't care what he had done to her before, she never cared, all she wanted is for him to stay alive. She rushed forward. "Evan," she said, walking straight through the blood, as it stained the navy satin of her dress while she kneeled by him. Her voice is strained and she couldn't help but pant deeply as she turned to the person nearest to her. "Quick! I need someone fast!" she said. "Someone go find Winry Alment! She's a healer, and we need her straight away!"
She turned back to Evan and put her hands on his chest. "I don't care if you intended to kill me before," she said. "You can't die."
Tears welled in her eyes as she searched for the bullet with her mind, looking through the open flesh and the blood, which's stench threatened to overwhelm her like a typhoon. No, this was her duty. She had to save Evan for Kao. It was no longer an option. It was an obligation.
Death the Kid
Kid turned at the sound of the laugh which he knew too well, and made his way through the crowd to find Flock. She wasn't getting away, not this time.
Haku
Haku blinked slowly and sighed with obvious difficulty. "I wish," he said. "It were that easy."

"Fivel!" Samie says, finally reaching her friend, "I brought Winry!" She gives her cousin a light push towards Evan (or is it Kao? She could never tell). She suddenly freezes. "Where's Brooke?" She askes, afraid for her other friend.

Angel stared at Sheer, frozen in fear and astonishment. That was all she could do. On the outside she was frozen, but her insides were the complete opposite. Her stomach sank and her heart was pounding. Her brain was discombobulated. Her heart ached, hoping that her eyes deceived her, but she knew the creature before her was her brother. She was completely oblivious to her surroundings besides Sheer. She heard nothing, saw nothing, except for him. She wanted to run towards him and run away from him at the same time, but not knowing which to do she remained frozen. People were bustling around her, bumping into her and yelling. She just stood there.
Patti scanned the crowd for Kid. When she saw him, she sprinted to him, dodging the frantic students. Running along side him, she started to inquire him. "What's the plan Kid? Where's Liz? Who's butt are we gonna kick today?"
Kerri had tears in her eyes as she knelt by Evan's limp body. She knew something was off about Evan but didn't know what. She would've never imagined that he was planning something like this. She didn't know what to think. To have been talking to him casually all this time, she felt foolish and responsible for this tragedy. Tears flooded her eyes and ran down her cheek with frustration.
Brooke ran to Evan's side. "What's going o-" She stopped mid-sentence upon seeing Evan and the gun and the tears. Immediately she knelt and started to attempt healing. She squeezed her eyes shut and gritted her teeth. She started out with whispered words that came to her fiercely, gradually getting louder and louder. She felt some of his pain going to her but was too concentrated on him to acknowledge it. Beads of sweat ran down the side of her forehead. "What was going on?" she thought "Why is this happening" questions like these swarmed in her head along with her concern. She repeated her song over and over, not stopping to even look at her patient.

Liz finally managed to find Patty and Kid, and to go to where they were standing. She had gone to the bathroom to change from her asymmetrical dress (which she had bought and worn just to bother Kid, having insulted her again) to her usual cowgirl attire. Her eyes were wide. "What the devil is going on..?" she questioned.

Kid
He turned to face his partners, his fists clenched at his side. "Flock is somewhere inside of the crowd, and we need to find her before she causes any trouble." he said, his gold eyes fiery with determination. "Because she will, and it is mandatory that we stop her."
Winry
Winry stood over Evan's body, her blue eyes filled with tears. "Oh, dear," she said. She glanced back at Kao and then back at Kerri and Fivel. "You two," she said, immediately falling into instructor mode. "I need you two to move. I'm sorry, but this is going to take all of the healing power we have," She kneeled down next to Brooke, and immediately felt calmed by her song. Shaking her head as if to free herself from her little corner of the world, she bent down and put her hands on the wound, closing her eyes. A bright green light echoed slowly from her palms, ebbing back and forth between going out and blinding someone. It flirted with the idea of saving anyone, but it was strong. Still, she didn't know if it was enough. She'd barely gotten to a layer of open flesh that she could see where the bullet was, so she didn't think that this was getting anywhere. She looked around, her hands still over Evan's body.
"Danny!" she yelled. she knew of the new student from her biology class, and he was definitely quick on his feet.
Danny
Upon being summoned Danny came, his eyes wide at the sight of the blood which covered the floor like a blanket. "Yes, Winry," he asked. She was sweaty and her cheeks were pink, but her blue eyes were sharp as she stared at him. "I need you to go find me some medical supplies." she said.
"Which on-?" he asked. "Any will do, just go! We don't have time to discuss it." she said. "Take another person with you. We're going to need alot." She blinked. "Also, we need someone to go to the blood bank. He needs lots of it. Type-" Winry glanced down at him. "-AB. We need AB positive."
Danny turned and ran, catching Talia's hand on the way. "Quick," he said. "We need to go get supplies, or that kid's screwed."
Fivel
Fivel backed away shakily and went straight to Kao, taking his hands in hers. "Kao," she said, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Kao, do you need anything?" She could only imagine how he felt, and she could imagine him flying into a mass hysteria of feelings, so she wanted to comfort him right then, more than anything in the world she wanted him to feel like he wasn't alone.
Nathan
Nathan stood at the edge of the crowd, his blue eyes layered in fear. He couldn't imagine losing Tiffany, much less his twin, so he could only imagine how Kao felt. Right at that moment, he could imagine feeling the emptiness that he felt when he was ordered to see his father in one room or another, know that punishment which awaited him. He clenched his fists. He sought out to find Flock. That was the only way to make things right, as always- he had to kill the evil at its source.

Brooke calmed slightly at the sound of Winry's voice, but kept on concentrating. She managed to slow the bleeding, and eventually stopping it. Despite her efforts, she still was sitting in blood. The lump in her throat grew more painful with every word she sang. A tear escaped one of her shut eyes and ran down her cheek. She continued to sing. As she sang, she listened for Evan's song. For a minute, she couldn't find it but then she heard it. It was faint, not even a whisper, but she heard it.
Darren jumped over the sound booth equipment, silencing it. He was powering it this whole time with his tech powers. He sprinted over to Sheer. He had watched his transformation from his station. He summoned wires to his aid. They followed him as he approached Sheer. He stopped in front of the beast, looking up at him. He trembled ever so slightly in fear. "Dude..... What happened?" he asked. He beckoned for the wires to entangle Sheer. The thick wires sparked and hissed as they slithered towards Sheer, wrapping tightly around his ankles. Another set of wires wrapped around his wrists. Darren was trying to get him still and try to talk some sense into the guy. If his plan fails, he might have to electrocute him to paralyze him only.
As the wires attacked Sheer, Angel regained consciousness. She dashed towards Darren. "What are you doing to my brother!?" she screamed.

Thalia rolls her eyes. "Jumping's faster idiot." She said, adjusting Danny's and her own weight so they were both feather light. "Don't let go," she warned, jumping in three short arches, until they were standing in front of the infirmary's door.
Liz nods, a short bob of her head, at Kid's directions. "Roger," she replies, and without hesitation, she transforms into a DeathEagle.
Seeing how pained and sad Brooke was, Samie gave her one of her rare hugs. "You're doing amazing Brooke," she says.

Brooke flashed a grateful smile towards Samie. Samie reminded her that she wasn't alone. It was a warm fuzzy feeling inside her. She had been in phases of pain amd panic. There were periods where she lost Evan's song but she always found it eventually. Her type of healing was somewhat different. She couldn't really heal, but transfer the wound. She would absorb the wound, and then give it to someone else by singing the healing song backwards. But to accomplish that, she had to first withstand the wound herself. Her target was Flock.
Patti nodded. "Lesh do thish!!" She then transformed into her weapon form as her sister did. "ready to fire at any time Kid" Adrenaline rushed through her veigns like electricity. She was ready for action.
Kerri slowly reached for Evan's hand and then held it in hers. It was cold, causing a chill to go down her spine. It made her shudder. Tears flowed down her cheek like a river. "Come on Evan" she whispered in horror "This.... This can't be happening... You can't do this. There are people who care about you more than you know; your brother, Fivel, me, and all of your friends." She wiped her tears with one of her hands. "We're not gonna let you die." she said louder.

Black-Sheer
Black-Sheer rolls his shoulders to get the stiffness out of them. After so many years of being locked up, free! Free to do whatever he wants! The only thing that's not perfect is that girl... the one that's asking whether he's okay. "Stop?" He purrs, his eyes narrowing as he looks down at her. Why on earth would he stop, return to being imprisoned inside of Sheer's head? Why would he ever go back to that place? "Never, little girl." Because she's annoying he grabs her by the arm, lifting her up, and throws her across the room. Maybe she'll stop bothering him now. "Oh, hey, this is useful." He picks up one of the tables and, turning around, accidentally slams it into the body of some girl who must have been trying kick him in the face. Her shoe brushes against his face, grazing his cheek, but at the last moment he turns his neck to the side so she goes past him, not that she could have hurt him even if she did connect.
Kao
When Fivel takes his hand he looks at her, suddenly feeling grateful just that she's here. Evan... killing himself? That's not real. He stumbles foreward and falls to his knees in front of his brothers body. Hesitantly, he reaches forward and brushes some of that blond hair out of his brothers eyes. They're closed, if they were open then many be could understand this, what's happening. Other people move and talk and decide to help Evan but Kao can't make himself take any of that seriously. If Evan just had his eyes open...
"It's just you an me, alright?" Evan says, sitting on top of the bed they share and smiling. "We can't trust those other people." Kao nods, half listening and half focusing on a little stuffed cat that he's holding. Evan reaches over and shakes his shoulder until he looks up. Kao, you won't leave, right? Evan looks so upset that he can't help but want to hug him. "Never. I'm your twin, it's just us."
Suddenly Evan's eyes open. "My chest hurts." He mumbles, his lips barely moving. "I shouldn't complain... since I did this to myself..." Kao leans in closer so he can hear, forgetting everything else. Evan's eyes blink and he lets out a dry chuckle. "I was so worried about you leaving me... and now I'm leaving you."
Kao shakes his head. "No, no... it's just the two of us, right? How can one of us die? Just one isn't any good." Maybe if he can convince Evan to stay alive...
