Alucard & Radu Alucard and Radu gradually entered the ballroom, their faces hidden by their masquerade masks. Alucard's was black and red and Radu's was silver and blue. "You are going to enjoy this," Radu said, though it sounded more like a command. Alucard shrugged. "I guess so." They stood by the wall, looking about at the other students. "So who are you gonna dance with?" Radu casually asked. "..I was going to ask Robin," Alucard responded quietly. "Ohhhh the piano girl!" Radu teased, and ducked to avoid being swatted by his older brother. "Two for flinchy! Oh!" Radu laughed, gently punching Alucard twice in the arm, and jumped back. "And until you find and ask her, enjoy your wallflowering!" With that, he disappeared into the crowd to look for Tiffany. "Retard," Alucard muttered.

Brooke couldn't grasp a hold of Samie, so she decided she would go wander among the dancers. "I guess I'll see ya around Seth, byebye!" She skipped away, fluttering like a butterfly. Starting to get bored again, she took a step outside for some air. The air was cool, crisp, and fresh. She loved the open outdoors rather than in a stuffy room with a huge crowd in it. She slid off her snow white mask and took a look at the scenery without the white mask bordering her vision. A breeze blew, causing her to have goosebumps. She folded her arms, hoping that the method would provide her with some warmth. She looked up to the stars and the half moon, admiring them. Then, to herself, she started humming along to the music coming from inside of the building.
Angel arrived at the dance in a shimmery one shoulder baby pink dress with a big bow tied behind her. There was a miniature version of the bow on the side of her head. Her hair was down, but slightly curled at the ends. She walked around quietly and with a smile on her face. When she reached the table with all the sweets, her smile widened. She grabbed a sugar cookie and took a small bite out of it, savoring the taste. She leaned on a wall, nibbling the cookie, watching her fellow students. When she saw a familiar white haired fellow, she finished the cookie in four bites and tip-toed over to where her brother Sheer stood. When she was behind him she reached out her arms and hugged him, "Sheeeer!", she exclaimed. Sure she was being somewhat clingy, but she had missed him for yeeeaaars. "Hehe... Hai there!", she greeted him. From the edge of her eye she saw he was speaking to someone. It was a pretty girl.... talking to her brother. She finally released Sheer and acknowledged the pretty girl. "Hi, I'm Angelica. You can call me Angel, or Angie." She started to become skeptic of this person she was introducing herself to, wondering what her relationship with Sheer was. "I'm Sheer's little sister......" She took a step towards the girl, standing right in front of her. "Are you dating my big brother?" Her voice had a touch of worry and a touch of jealousy for her brother.

Flock
Flock ducked behind a tall senior as soon as she caught the glance of the tall blonde looking at her. I've been spotted. she thought. Damn. She shouldered through the crowd to the back door, which she caught sight of Fivel leaving out of. I've got to get this girl. Then this night can continue on.
Tiffany and Nathan
Tiffany felt a shudder run through her just as a tall, hunched over form passed her by. She turned to glance back at it, but it disappeared in the crowd before tracking it was possible. Nathan glanced up at her. "Tiffany?" he asked. She looked back at him before turning on her heel. "Stay here." she said. "I'll be right back." Nathan grimmaced after her as she shouldered through the crowd, her adrenaline rushing. I thought she was gone! She thought. I've got to find Radu.
Winry Winry smiled as Fivel left the ballroom with Kao. Ah, I knew she could do it. she thought. I knew my dress would make her irresistable. She checked things off of her checklist for the dance. Everything is in place. She thought. Even the box for the KaoxFivel moment. (OOC:Creeper..)
Haku Haku edged through the crowd, adjusting the glasses over his eyes. Headmistress had given him strict orders to keep everything underwraps during the dance today, and he wasn't about to let her down. The dance was useless anyway. Dancing.. doesn't solve anything. He scoffed aloud without meaning to. As he passed a specific person, however, something ran through him. He turned at an angle to look at the source, and found it. the modifier that had just returned to school after being in the accident at the Havens. He'd heard of her, but he'd never thought that perhaps she was alarmingly beautiful. With flushed cheeks, he walked past and her and lightly said, ''Excuse me." , and waited for her to step aside.

April "Hooray! You got it right! It IS me! Well... I guess you got it right, even tough you didn't actually say it was me, April... but I knew what you meant!" April chirped cheerily. She bounced with excitement. "Aren't you happy? The dance is finally here, I'm so excited!" she smiled widely. She was so hyper at the moment, you'd think she had just eaten a pound of candy.(which I did, which is why she's acting like this...lol ^^) "C'mon, there's so much stuff to do, and this is our first dance at the Castle!" She gazed around excitedly, and then noticed a girl had walked up next to her. "Oh, hi there!" she grinned broadly again, "I'm April, you must be a new student here! Welcome, than! You've come at the best time ever, and you came up to the right person! People call me the welcome wagon sometimes, because when I meet a new person, they get a big, big hug. See?" she hugged Kiley tightly. "Oooh, it's great to meet you!" April kept yammering for a moment longer. "Well, new girl, I'd like you to meet Jimmy. He's my boyfriend. And over there is Juliet, and there is...Oh, hi Arty! Longtime no see!" she waved at him, "And over there is Brooke, and there's Tiffany, Nathan, Kerri, Tyler, Seth, Headmistress Hastings, and Darren, and Fivel, Kao, and Haku...hi Haku! How've you been? And a bunch of other people! Oh, look, and there's Alucard and Radu! Hey guys!" she waved at them, also, "But anyways, now that you've seen everyone, do you have any questions?" April smiled, not realizing that she had just introduced this girl to half the students at the school, and the poor girl was probably overwhelmed. (XD April on a sugar high... she's just bouncing off the walls today. It's gonna be hard to write with calm Rekees now...)
Rekees Rekees smiled when she heard that he remembered, "Oh good, you do remember me! I'm having a great time at the dance right now. But you don't seem to be enjoying yourself." She looked at him with concern. She was just about to ask him if something was wrong when a young girl arrived. Rekees smiled politely, and a bit shyly. "Hello Angelic- I mean Angel. it's wonderful to meet you. My name is Rekees." she did a little, polite bow. "I didn't know Sheer had a little sister!" she beamed. The next question took her off guard. "Oh, no it's nothing like that. Sheer and I are friends, we met a few days ago." Rekees blushed and looked at her feet.

(I should have posted /days ago/ -sobs- I'm sorry! I've been trying to get back into whatever weird mood it is that let's me write as Sheer properly. So sorry!)
Sheer
Sheer clicks his tongue against the top of his mouth and studies Rekees' face. "I'm having a brilliant time, don't worry about it. We don't have these to often, though, so you should try your best to have fun..." He breaks off in mid-sentance when his little sister hugs him from behind. His brown eyes widen for a second, and in such bright light they almost look red. Then he realizes who it is that hugged him and he relaxes. For a moment he had thought that is was some kind of assassination attempt. How paranoid! It's probably a sign that he should quit this whole 'resistance' thing.
"Hey Angel, you look pretty in that dress, little girl. Are you having a good time?" He asks, smiling as he hugs her back. "We're ah... definitely not dating. Where'd you get that idea?" He stumbles a bit over the 'not dating' part and bites his lip. He hadn't expected Angelica to be so blunt, but it isn't really her fault because kids are like that and it's the kind of thing he'd normally say anyways.
Juliet
"Huh?" Juliet turns around, surprised that someone who isn't part of her damaged memories is speaking to her. It wasn't like she had been completely ignored by the Castle students, but none of them had really gone out of their way to talk to her except for the crazy one with the white hair and a monster-complex. "Oh, um, do you need something?" She asks, remembering to smile so she doesn't look to scary. It's not that hard, actually, the smiling. He's nice looking in a way that doesn't make her want to check to make sure he has an IQ, and even better, she doesn't have to work hard to live up to some past Juliet. "You're Haku, right?" She guesses, though she's not sure of his name.

"You really like my dress? Thanks! And I'm having great time, I mean, it's a dance!" Angel giggles. "Oh and the cookies over there are amaaaazzzziiiiiinnnngggg!" She bounces over to her brother's side and takes another moment to get a good look at Rekees. "well it's a pleasure to meet you Rekees!" By her judgement, she thinks Rekees is a lovely person. Although, she doesnt want Sheer to have a girlfriend, but she knew he was bound to get one. She would rather have Rekees as his girlfriend than some evil skank. She also felt some sort of connection between them and decided she would leave them alone. She went and hugged Rekees, whispering in her ear. "hey, you are really pretty and I give you my blessing to date him..." She released her new friend amd turned to hug Sheer once more. "well bye bye you guys! Imma hit the dance floor" She skipped away to the beat of the music with another little giggle, stepping into the flashy vivid lights.

Tyler watched Kao lead Fivel away, instantly becoming bored. He dragged his converse clad feet across the floor, looking for anyone remotely fun who didn't hate his guts. It was really funny, actually, seeing how practically everyone was just awkwardly standing to the side, he couldn't help but think. He considered spiking the punch just for some action, but immediately vetoed the idea. Too clique, he thought. His eyes landed on a small figure sitting to the side. Perfect, he thought. Black was probably the only person there who he could actually talk to without being seen as a jerk. "Hey." He said as he dropped into the chair next to Black.
Samie stopped zoning out as soon as Brooke was gone. Crap, she thought. She'd been concentrating too much on the familiar person that she hadn't noticed one of her best friends run out. "Meh." She said to herself, drifting through the crowd. She saw Winry, watching Fivel and Kao walk out with an accomplished smile plain on her face. "Er, cuz?" She told Winry, "You're creeper side is showing."

Haku He was surprised she even replied. No one usually talked to him, seeing as how he was pretty tight with the headmistress, and anything out of line would be sent along, so he wasn't used to talking that much, rather than snapping at Tyler and considerately speaking to Headmistress Hastings. "Um," he let out. "Yes. But I didn't need anything.. actually, I was waiting for you to, ah, move. But.." Another crowd of people had engulfed the path he'd seen before, and there was no point in asking her to move. "..I guess it doesn't matter anymore." He smiled, something that was hard before, but all of a sudden, it wasn't anymore. "Yes, I'm Haku. And you're Juliet, if my memory serves correct, yes?"
Jimmy Jimmy grabbed Aprils wrist and pulled her close to him. He put his hands gently on her temples and put his face close to hers. "April." he said. He gazed into her eyes. They were so perfect, with the blue that looked amantharine.
Winry Winry blinked at the call of the casual 'cuz' that came her way. "Hmm? Oh. N-no, I wasn't being a creeper. I think that Kao and Fivel are adorable. And, I, enjoy.. don't judge me." she said. "Anyway, what about you, huh? Don't you have a date, pretty girl?" She leaned on the table behind her. Look who's talking. Winry didn't even wear a dress, let alone get a date. She wore her drab old uniform. Hypocrite. Shut up. She silently nagged herself.

Juliet
Juliet looks over her shoulder, a knee-jerk reaction, though she doesn't see anything behind her worth noticing. "Oh, well, uh... If you need help I can make them all move. Most of the people here are either scared of me or they pity me to much to go near me." For some reason, the thought strikes her as funny and she laughs. It was laughable, if looked at objectively, all these messed up people pitying her. Juliet is relatively sure that they all need help more than she does.
She focuses back Haku. It's good that she remembered his name, and he knows her's too... which is both nice and predictable. "That's right, I'm Juliet Violetto." She's about to let the conversation drop off there, but when she thinks twice about it she decides that she really does want to know a little bit more about this person who she's never talked to before. Something about him is extremely interesting, in a good way. "Are you having fun? No... that's a stupid question, sorry. Is Castle always this extravagant? I feel like a homeless man dragged into Bill Gate's office." She laughs again, she had made the joke without meaning to. She was really doing well with the jokes tonight, that was odd. "Well... a homeless man in a nice dress. " Haha, another joke.
Black
The transvestite jumps, then turns around to look at Tyler. She'd been so lost in thought that she had been caught off guard when he came over, which was weird because she'd been waiting for that for a while. "Hey, how's it going?" She asks, easily adjusting her voice to the 'normal' deep tone that she uses so no one will guess that she's a girl. Awkwardly, she tugs at the collar of her tuxedo, thinking that as well as it fits she will never have broad enough shoulders. That's a shame. "I saw you dancing with Fivel, are you going to steal her away from Kao?" As much as she dislikes the idea of Tyler dating another girl... it strikes her as amusing that Tyler would do something like that.
Robin
Robin takes a break from dancing and heads over to the table with all the food and drink on it to get some water. She drains almost three cups worth before her breathing returns to normal. It doesn't hurt, that's amazing. It's the best thing in the world.
A few seconds later she notices something else that is amazing. She hadn't seen him for such a long time. "Alucard?" She asks softly, walking up behind him. "It's been a while, I'm glad you came."

As Alucard scans the crowd, he shuts the thoughts of his fellow classmates out, like pulling a blind down over a window to shut out the light. It is clear to him that everyone is buzzing with excitement. He doesn't see Robin anywhere however, and, biting his lip, feels a little disappointed. Then someone says his voice, and recognizing just who it was, turned around. Alucard can't suppress the relief and delight from showing on his face, even though Robin cannot see because his face is hidden behind a mask.
"Robin," he says, and pauses to compose the words in his head into sentences. He is distracted by how striking she looks in a dress. Her silver and black mask adds a touch of mystery. Alucard's head falls to his chest as he gazes downward. "I'm sorry I keep disappearing. Things just aren't..working out for me. But if it makes you happy that I came, then that makes me happy." I don't know what I'd do if I ever caused you to frown. "I'm glad I came, too."
Alucard was dressed exquisitely for the dance. To keep in tune with his black and red color theme, he'd pulled his old, favorite red coat out of the box he kept under his bed in his dorm. Because he had worn it so often, there were several rips and holes on the sleeves and lapel. Underneath that, Alucard wore a simple black tuxedo. And to complete the outfit was his dark red cravat.
Alucard thought maybe it was a bit overkill. He looked like a character that could have stepped right out of the pages of a book, and miraculously appeared in the world of the readers. But there was a sort of rugged charm about it, and the fact that Alucard missed wearing his coat.

Tyler shook his head, giving Black a lopsided grin. "Nah, she's too short." He responded, holding his hands behind his head to rest it. He added, like an afterthought, "Plus, little Kao would probably murder me before I could say, 'haha'."
Samie laughed at her cousin's comment. "Why don't you have a date pretty girl? Are none of the guys good enough for you?" She asked Winry, poking her in the ribs.

Artemis glanced up sharply when someone said his name. When he realized just who was approaching him, he was thoroughly surprised. Juliet! It had been a while since they last saw each other. Three months, almost four. Artemis was surprised to hear that she had also been missing. Before he could get a word in, however, a boy he did not recognize walked up to her, and they began to talk.
Artemis walked up to them. "I apologize for interrupting your conversation," he said calmly. "I just happened to notice my friend here, whom I haven't seen in a long time." Artemis smiled at Juliet. "You..look great tonight." Great? Wow, that must have sounded lame. Face flushed, he then turned to the boy whose name he did not know. "Once again, I am sorry. I just wanted to briefly say hello."
Artemis stuck his hand out in greeting to Haku. "My name is Artemis. And you are..?" He hoped he didn't come off as rude.

Robin
She smiles, content with his excuse. "It's fine, just keep coming back, okay? It's hopelessly boring here without you." A little embarrassed, Robin drops her gases and studies her shoes. She had spent so many nights hoping that he would come back, and now that he's here her tongue feels like it's made of wood. "Um, since you are here, do you want to dance?" She asked shyly. She had never been able to dance with a boy before, not at a real dance. Something behind Alucard catches her eye, it's Flock. Robin swallows, her feelings of nervousness catching back up to here. One dance, then I'll do it, promise.
Juliet
The modifier nods at the person who was one of her friends. She's not sure whether it is still accurate to call him a friend, it seems like it would be presumptuous of her. "Thanks Arty, you look pretty...dashing... yourself." She smiles, because it's certainly true. What was funny was that she can't think of a more accurate word to describe him, so she is forced to use such an old-fashioned word as 'dashing'. Nervously, she smoothed out her silk dress. She wonders if Artemis really meant the complement, considering that she had decided to go with blue hair tonight. Juliet pushes a few indigo strands behind her ears, already wondering why she had though that it was a good idea to go with such a noticeable color.
Black
"Huh, you could beat him if you wanted to." Black says offhandedly. She pushes bother of her hands through her mop of black hair and shakes her head rapidly to get it to look more normal. "Hey... Tyler?" She looks at the ground, and then drags her gaze up so she's actually looking at him. She swallows, having difficulty remembering what she wants to say. Even after so many years of knowing this person, saying this is difficult. "Want to dance? I haven't done anything but sit around all day and it's boring." Black says, faking nonchalance. Even though she's masquerading as a guy, he shouldn't have any qualms about dancing... and the song that's on right now is so fast that it can't be considered romantic at all. Worried, she bites her lip.
Evan
"I am the clown with the tear-away face Here in a flash and gone without a trace I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?" I am the wind blowing through your hair" He sings, getting more and more lost in thought. (note: he's singing part of the opening to A Nightmare Before Christmas, which is more or less a children's movie. Even though the lyrics are kind of creepy, Evan isn't exactly intending it to sound scary.) Evan shoves his hands into the pockets of his jacket and walks away from his car. Castle's parking lot is empty and quiet, which isn't really unusual considering that it's nighttime. After spending a few days in the little town he had finally sorted through all the cluttered thought in his mind.
Most of the lights are on, so it must be time for the homecoming dance. Evan lights a cigarette and puts it between his lips, feeling that sense of heaviness and dread start to drag him backwards again. Still, there isn't anything he can do. He made a deal with Flock, therefore he will keep it. He loves Kao, therefor he will protect him. Simplicity, as he had realized, is the key to everything.
"Hey, kid!" A voice behind him says, so loud that Evan almost drops the cigarette. "Are you a student here?" The older twin turns around to see a man in a leather jacket walking quickly so as to catch up.
"Yeah. Who're you?"
"Matt Barlow, I've been ordered to look into the histories of some of the children here." Barlow holds out a badge for him to look at. Suspicious, Evan does, but he doesn't see anything wrong with it. "They let you smoke here?"
"They haven't told me to stop." Evan says truthfully, so far the teachers haven't seen him smoking. He grins. "Well, there's a dance going on right now, do you want to come in?"

Kerri turned at the sound of Evan's voice. She saw that he was speaking to a stranger. She couldn't hold her excitement, so she walked up to him anyway. "Hi there Evan.", she greeted. She turned to the stranger, "Hi, I'm Kerri. I'm Evan's friend." She extended her arm to Barlow. She hesitated right before she said friend, because they only had talked once. She wasn't positive that Evan thought of her really as a friend. She wasn't sure Evan really even remembered her. She just stood there, hoping for the best.
Angel tied her hair into two low pigtails on her way to the dance floor. She adored the pound of the bass of the music. She didn't care for a partner to dance with, although she did want to show of her dancing to her brother, Sheer. She really had improved in the last few years and she hoped he would watch. She twirled over to the DJ and tapped him on the shoulder. Darren acknowledged her presence with a "Sup?". She smiled at him sweetly. "Hey, do you mind playing something...that's fun to dance to? Something upbeat and fun!" she shouted, making sure Darren could hear her. He nodded at her, "Sure thing cutie. On one condition" Angie looked at him questioningly, thinking DJs were supposed to take request silently. "you need to actually dance. It would be awesome if you could get some other people to dance with you too. Some people seem like they're dead." Angel giggled "Sure thing!" She then ran over to Sheer, dodging clumps of people. She grabbed his hand, "C'mon! Dance with me! Just for a little bit!" and dragged him into the center of the dance floor, looking up at him with her big innocent fun-loving eyes. She planned on dancing with Sheer just for a few minutes, then getting some strangers into the act, hopefully making new friends. While she dance, she looked for new targets to bring onto the dance floor.

Haku, Part One Haku ran his fingers over the slightly rough material of his jacket, resisting the little urge in his head that told him to continue working. He wanted to talk to this girl. However, fate got in his way, and suddenly there was someone cutting through their conversation. No matter how polite he was about it, he was rather curt. Haku started to say something, when something caught his eye. A flash of someone's shoulder, maybe, but it was rather important either way. Haku turned his shoulder to angle it towards his sign of alarm and looked back at Artemis and Juliet. "I'm sorry." he said. "But I have buisness I'm supposed to attend to." He smiled at Juliet, his green eyes glittering in the dim lights that barely scraped the floors or lit anything that wasn't similar to colloid substances. "I hope we can meet again. I believe we have alot in common." With that, he turned on his heel, towards the scene unfolding around a corner of the ballroom. Barlow? What is Barlow doing here? he thought with a panic. He approached the threesome, his eyes blazing.
Flock Flock heard Evan before she saw him. The way that his mind worked was just so loud, that it was hard for any mind reader not to hear. Aren't Fivel's powers useful? She smiled venomously as he talked to Barlow. Everything was slowly falling into place perfectly. Now she just needed to talk to Tyler. But then she saw Haku walking toward the group, and her mind flared with panic. He's going to ruin everything! She thought, glaring at his back. I've got to stop him.
Haku, Part Two Haku suddenly lost all of the feeling in his head, as if someone had taken all of the nerves and jerked them around, completely pulling them apart. He stopped, dazed, and touched the ground to keep himself steady. What.. what is going on..? He thought, touching his forehead with his free hand. Haku blinked several times, still dazed. Flock.. this is her doing, isn't it? People began to crowd around him, asking if he was alright, and he tried to stop from drawing attention to himself. "I'm fine." he said. "Don't worry." But suddenly, his stomach cramped up and his arms felt numb. No, no, no. he thought. I can't transform here.
Winry Winry blushed and traced a random 'c' on her checklist. "Well, ah," she said. "I didn't think of it. I was too busy planning it all for everyone else, ok? And no one asked me, anyway." This was a lie, even if she did not know it. she was too busy trying to plan things and get ready, that she didn't notice when guys came up and asked her. Dense, much?
