 April's life was normal until age 13. When she was 13, she had a relationship with a boy called Aden. One day, on a date, her emotions were out of control, and her power developing yet not discovered. She caused a rock-slide, and it killed Aden. She blamed herself for his death, not knowing how she had caused it but being positive she had, she tried many times to commit suicide, and went to a psychiatrist. One day she was out stargazing on her 14th birthday, a college student appeared and raped her. After a bit she was able to send him flying into a tree, and called the cops. They arrested the student, but he told them about her powers, and she was sent to the Havens. Her friend, Maria, snuck onto the plane taking her to the Havens, although she had no power. At the Havens she met Drew, and 6 months later they were g.f. b.f. But, he ended up betraying her and stealing her power. He killed Maria, and April killed him. When the Havens burned down, April, along with the rest of the surviving students, was transferred to Castle. She met some new friends, as most of her closest friends died, and adjusted back to a semi-normal life.
