"Oh hello Haku" she greeted her apprentice, "I was just welcoming our new teacher, Shi- I mean, Mr. Lyle." She figured that Shiloh's students addressed him as Mr. Lyle, so she corrected herself. "Shiloh, this is Haku, my apprentice." She introduced them to each other. She thought for a while, thinking that the two should get to know each other better. "Haku, Mr. Lyle here has the ability to manipulate time, maybe you should spend sometime under his wing" She then turned to Shiloh, "Do you mind?" She thought that Haku and Mr. Lyle were very different, maybe they could learn some things from each other. Mr. Lyle was a decent man, from what she's learned about him today, and she trusted him enough with her own apprentice. What's the worst that could happen?

O NLY SHOOTING STARS » Shiloh turned his attention to the boy when he approached the headmistress. He didn't bother to correct her correction of his name, though being called Shiloh wasn't too troublesome. Silas called him Shiloh, so he really didn't feel like there was reason to be upset over it.
"Hello, Haku. "Shiloh greeted politely. " I'm the new history teacher here." Shiloh doubted the boy cared, but he didn't know what else say to him. When Rina suggested that the boy should spend time with him, Shiloh was visibly surprised (much to his dismay- that was something he should have hidden). The suggestion wasn't something he had a problem with, but he didn't exactly have a great track record with kids. His own son, Silas, loathed his very being, and he could only assume that his younger son and daughter weren't exactly fond of him, either. How could he possibly handle another teenager? " No, not at all." Shiloh replied with a smile. " I think I can handle that. And I'd love the chance to get to know you better, Haku." He wasn't just saying that- Shiloh genuinely did want to get to know the students of the school. He had a particular interest in the kids in his class, but if Haku would be around him, he would certainly like to start with him. Nothing made you comfortable in a new environment quite like making a new friend (even if that friend was decades younger). ✘shiloh [/blockquote] « BREAKS THE MOLD ![/blockquote]

Rina nodded, "Haku" she put a hand on his shoulder, "I think this will be very good for you. You behave for Mr. Lyle ok?" She said sternly. Haku was a smart kid, she knew he was going to do fine. She would check on them anyway and Haku would report to her. He was a loyal child. "Thank you for doing this Shiloh, i really appreciate it"

O NLY SHOOTING STARS » Shiloh nodded at the polite comment from the boy. Despite the curtness (no use acknowledging that), he didn't seem too bad. He also didn't say anything about him not replying to the offer. As much as he wanted the boy to enjoy the time with him, he wasn't holding his breath. But that didn't matter too much to him because his boss wanted him to do this- it had nothing to do with what he wanted. It wasn't like he was torturing the boy, so they could at least tolerate one another if worse came to worse.
"No problem, "Shiloh replied. " It's my honor to have this chance." Shiloh glanced down at his soup. It was surely cold now, but he hadn't wanted to eat it before so he wasn't terribly upset by this realization. ✘shiloh [/blockquote] « BREAKS THE MOLD ![/blockquote]

O NLY SHOOTING STARS » Shiloh definitely wasn't ready for this. First of all, he had no idea what kids would want to be doing (er, well, that wasn't dangerous to themselves or himself) and secondly, Haku wasn't just some kid. His preferences, if he was used to being the assistant of the headmistress, were probably considerably different than the carefree urges of his teenage boys.
"Well, where would you like to go? I can't say I know the ins and the outs of the school yet- though I'm sure you do- but I can get to my classroom well enough. That's open to you if you feel any need for it. "Shiloh suggested. Other than his own living quarters, he didn't have much space within the school (and, he didn't want it for that matter). " I was never very good at guessing. Where is it kids your age like to go?" Now would be a good time to be on texting terms with his kids. He probably could have gotten one to Evie without starting WWIII, but he didn't want to interupt whatever it was that boy was doing, so he settled for trying to get Haku to guide him a bit instead. ✘shiloh [/blockquote] « BREAKS THE MOLD ![/blockquote]

"well, ive got to get back to my office. I have a lot of work I need to catch up on. You two can come by whenever you need anything" The headmistress excused herself. There was something off about Haku recently, something hurting him, and she decided to give Haku a break. She needed to do some research anyway, because she suspected something odd going on in the school. She had no idea what it was though...

________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Haku's eyes were their always worn green as he looked up and met Mr. Lyles gaze."Well, I suppose.." he started. "..there is this one spot. A balcony up over the school grounds." He really had no idea what normal kids enjoyed, but he liked the way the garden looked under the light of the mid-day sun, and how the left over dew glistened under the light. "I can show you to where it is. Come with me."
