Holly had never been one for romanticizing over life; it simply wasn’t worth her time. What with a toddler, high school, and the other crap that made up her life, if tried to sort through it all she’d drown in it. Holly sighed as she lay in her bed in the room that she had to herself. Well, Emily sometimes spent the night hear, it depended all in where the little girl passed out. Sometimes she snuggled up with Helen and Amanda, or Gwen and Margaret. Emily had spent a considerable amount of time with Alucard before everything havened, but now, the young girl kept her distance till her ‘Daddy’ was up to playing that roll.
Holly sighed and sat up in her bed, looking over at the other bed with pink floral sheets with crayons, and coloring books spread across the bed. The only thing it lacked was a little 4 year old trying to stay inside the lines. Holly gave her head a good scratch, and swung her legs over to the side of the bed and stood. Holly walked over to the bed, and gathered the coloring books, and stacked them up on a nearby end table. Holly proceeded to gather up the crayons putting them up on the end table as well.

"Tidying up?" came the the muffled voice of Radu. He had knocked softly once, twice, then opened the door a crack. In that slim frame of vision he was able to glimpse Holly walking around, perhaps sorting things. "Alright if I come in?" Radu asked. Old vampire habit.
Generally, you had to get permission from the resident of a living space in order to come in. It probably didn't apply here, but it was a difficult habit to break. Things around here were gloomy, mysterious, and suspicious. With Alucard not in his usual frame of mind, Radu felt more alone these days. And who do you talk to when you're down? Friends. Radu was pretty sure Holly was someone with whom he could discuss his woes.
//OOC: I owe it to you to post to one of your threads. Plus, I miss posting with you! Happy belated new year's btw.//

Holly went into whip lash and stared at the door that was half opened. If she had been outside her dorm, she would have pulled out a switch blade, That was one rule Holly didn't believe applied to her, and that was the 'No Weapons' thing they tried so damn hard to enforce. The blonde simply refused it, simple as that. "Oh, it's just you." Holly said, sounding somewhat relived. "Yea, come right on in Bro." Holly smiled sweetly. "Speaking of Bro's, how's Alu doing?" she asked as she walked over to a pink bean bag chair and plopped down into it. From the side she pulled out a newspaper, and held it up. “Havens Students Cause Fire?” Holly mused, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She smirked. “Lord, and I thought we were only kick ass, turns out we’re Bad ass.”

Radu opened the door and walked in, spying Holly sitting in a pink beanbag chair. She was looking at a newspaper. "Alu's..not right," he replied, sighing. The distance between them born out of whatever was bothering Alucard was evident in Radu's rather morose expression. He missed the old Alucard, not this new, dejected version.
"Its weird," he said, sitting on the edge of Holly's bed. "Besides being depressed, he confines himself to our dorm, or disappears for a few days. One time I even saw him sitting at the desk, tightly gripping the edge, and it seemed like he was really hard on something. And often he complains of headaches. I don't understand. Its like Alucard is sick, but vampires don't get sick.."
As he trailed off, Radu read the headline of the newspaper Holly was reading, and couldn't help but agreeing with her. "Trust the media to place the blame on us. Its what they do best." The scorn in his voice went unchecked.
