(this is a do anything thread, where ANYTHING can happen. Which means it could either be part of the plot or not, there is no real plan for how this thread will go, just as long as it includes everyone ^^)
It was in the student lounge. It was a lazy-day Saturday and the beginning of the Thanksgiving holidays, which meant that there was nothing to do school-realated what-so-ever. 9 days of students being able to hang out around campus, and, mostly, the student lounge, full of t.v.s, computers, ping pong tables, pool tables, bean bag chairs, couches, game consoles, magazines, a never-ending supply of books, and even a fridge full of food and counters to eat.(excuse my never ending list of fun stuff. Just be glad I didn't add a pool)nothing to do but hang out. Which was nice in one hand and boring in another. Which also meant that anything could happen.
April
April trudged into the student lounge at around 2 p.m., after getting tired of sleeping, waking up and reading for five minutes, and sleeping again. She had taken a shower before coming down, and had changed unto day clothes, so wild red hair cascaded down her back in damp locks. She was wearing a grey cami and ripped jeans, along with her black hoodie with bear ears on the hood, which she now wore ever day. Being her normal shoe hating self, she had neglected to put on real shoes and was, instead, wearing zebra-striped slippers.
She yawned and walked over to the fridge, examining the contents. Cold pizza seemed yummy, along with some Dr. Pepper. She grabbed two slices of frozen pepperoni pizza and poured herself a large glass. She called out to Rekees, who she had spotted when she had walked in, "Oi, Rekees, you hungry?" "Oh, yes, I am." came her soft reply, "Could you get me the little bowl of spagetti? It should still be in there. Thank you, April." April just nodded, not sure if Rekees could actually see her nod, and got out the little bowl of noodles. It seemed awfully small. She shrugged, and heated the bowl up in the microwave while chowing down on a slice of her pizza. When the timer beeped, she took the bowl out, grabbed a fork and her food and drink, and walked over to Rekees. "Here ya go, Kees." she placed the bowl and fork on the table in front of Rekees. Rekees looked up from her book, and smiled a little. "Thank you." she spoke softly, still. April wondered if that girl ever rose her voice, or if her speech volume was permanently on piano.
She plopped down on a plush, orange couch, layed down, and began to read the newest People magazine. After a few minutes of silence, April began to feel restless and turned on the radio. She searched for a good channel for a minute, coming close to settling on Christmas music, but deciding on the Alternative channel. She layed down again and continued reading an article about Ashton Kutcher and Demi with 'Little Lion Man' playing in the background and Rekees reading intently. She hoped other people would arrive soon, it wasn't nearly as lively in here as she wanted it.
Rekees:
Rekees woke early on Saturday, as usual. First thing se did when she woke was take a shower and get dressed. She slipped on a simple, flowing, long white dress and put her hair in two long pigtails. After reading 'Romeo and Juliet' for a little while, she decided to go down to the student lounge to read in a more social enviornment, as she did not have a roommate yet. She walked down the halls gracefully, looking more like dancing than walking, and arrived at the lounge. Deciding to kill some time before continuing reading, she watched a bit of t.v. When it was around noon, she wasn't feeling quite hungry yet, so she poured herself a glass of lemonade and took a seat on one of the couches to read. Before she knew it, two hours went by ad another person walked into the lounge. April arrived, looking tired, and walked over to get some food. Rekees continued to read, being halfway through the book, and was surprised when April called out and asked if she was hungry. Rekees blinked with surprise as she realized how hungry she was. "Oh, yes, I am. Could you get me the little bowl of spagetti? It should still be in there." she called out quietly, and almost forgot to add, "Thank you, April." she waited for April to microwave the noodles and continued to read, after a few moments of intense reading April walked over and put the bowl in the table, along with a fork. "Here ya go, Kees." Rekees blinked at the new nickname, surprised and slightly pleased to have earned one, but smiled graciously, "Thank you, April." Rekees returned to her book once more, faintly boticing the radio being turned on as she read about Romeo and Juliet's forbidden love. She could practically feel April's restlessness, it was so intense. It rolled off her in waves, and she hoped, too, that another friend would arrive soon.
