Holly was never a fan of sitting around. It made her feel... vulnerable for some unknown reason. maybe it was the sound of her own heart beating that made her feel like she needed to jump and run for her life. She was feeling slightly empty inside, not the 'Oh my God, I'm depressed, Emo, and I'ma cut my self.' kind of empty. She was more... lonely than anything else. She'd all ways been a care giver. She practically raised Margaret, even if she hadn't raised her the right way. When she was younger, she was responsible for her younger siblings, even Zachary, who was but a few minutes younger. She'd adapted to the stress of that, wore the burden of an older sister as a badge proudly on her chest instead of a ball and chain around her ankle. And now? She had Emily. Emily, the little girl soon turning 5, but had the mind of a teenager. She was independent, and had lost her helpless little girl-ness. She wasn't a baby any more, and squirmed when she was held, and now, didn't even want to sleep with her Mommy.
Though she acted on the out side that the little girl annoyed her at times, their hadn't been a moment she hadn't loved Emily. Corny yes, something a parent all ways feels, yes. But holly had just figured out that she had all ways loved Emily. She had loved those sleepless nights with a newborn. She had loved her twins as well... They where lost. Lives so short. She had known them only for a few months, but was still broken from their early death sentence. It had made Holly go to church in the least. She held a small vigil the Sunday after. She'd lit every candle she could find, and put 2 framed photos of her boys. She had bawled that night, cried her heart out. She had gone through blood, sweat, and ran out of tears that night. She'd yelled at God that night, cursed at him, damned him to hell for taking her babies.
She'd had a break down in a church, and had released pain so deep inside her soul, that she had been unaware it had even existed. So, she sat on a high rise hill, more like a bump in the vast area of grass, so he could sit, and see till the horizon. She had her knees up to her chest, and she hugged her legs to keep them there. She was hunched over, starring on in the distance with a glossy look in her eyes.
"Hey Blondie." a deepened voice said. Holly turned around.
"Hello yourself, your blond too dummy." she said, smirking at Zachary who had tried to be a clever boy. Holly wasn't in the mood for his cleverness, which he wasn't anyways... but she wasn't in the mood for him, and all his made-up glory.
"Aw, I'm hurt big sister." he said, touching his right hand to his heart. "Be'in so mean to your little brother, why must thou be so cruel?"
"Because I has'th the most annoying little brother, that has ever walk'th'ed the earth." Holly rolled her eyes. Zachary smirked. "A million girls would kill to be my sister."
"Meh, I've never been a fan of incest."
"Not like that!!!!" Zachary said, panicked at what Holly had said. "Ewwww, You dirtyyyyy." he mused, squirming. Holly smirked, and rolled her eyes once again. "You acted soooooo surprised, don't be so nieve." she mused. Once thinking about what she had said... it hadn't made a whole lot of sense... Oh well, she wasn't going to take that conversation any further.
"Hey Holly?" a girlish voice said. "Can we go to the goodwill later? I need a few things." Holly turned and saw her cross-dressing sister Margaret. She was in her boys uniform, with her hair cut short, and... and... "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR?!?!?!" Holly said, now feeling stupid for not realizing it sooner. Margaret had died her hair so she was now a brunette.... with streaks of ginger!!! "Chill, it's no big--" Margaret was cut short as Holly began to strangle her. Not in a 'I intend to kill you' sort of way. In a 'I'm going to make you wash your hair out with scolding water' kind of strangling" "Come on Holly, give the poor kid a break." Zachary mused and separated the two. Holly growled. She was now in a 'Kill, Kill, Hate, Hate, Murder, Murder, Blow up the whole world' mood. She had nothing against Margaret when it came to her... being a lesbian. She loved her straight, bi, gay, or blue with purple eyes. she was just annoyed that Margie hadn't consulted anybody about this drastic of a change.
