Chris stumbled across the garden, while trying to get to her first class that was printed on her schedule. She loved the thin piece of paper, with it's neat little time tables telling her where she had to be and when. It was so different from when she had to make all the decisions herself. Freedom was so....mundane, to her. Unfortunately for her, a map didn't come included with it, leaving her to find her way through Castle's organized chaos of a building. She surveyed her surroundings, debating whether she should stay in the garden and deal with self pity and worry or look around for her class, and face her classmates that she knew she would probably hate. They would ask her the dreaded questions, about her family, power, herself, etc. Her indifferent mask would slip off at that point, and she would say something snobbish to make them go away and ignore her. Just thinking about it made her cringe. She hated questions, and people. But pitying people were the worst. She hated, no, despised the feeling of being looked down on and the surge of pitying wafting from people when they heard about her situation. She quickly made her decision, deciding that at least self pity and worry didn't talk, as she sat down in the slightly damp grass. The grass tickled against her legs, and she leaned against a bush. I wonder how Becky is doing, she wondered, staring up at the light blue cloudless sky. She silently cursed it, for being so perfect. She felt like storm clouds should be invading the sky instead, dropping fat drops of freezing cold liquid on her face, for hating people she didn't even know. "Hatred will destroy," her mother had once told her. She shook her head at her mother's advice. Not really, she thought bitterly, love destroys. Chris heard the rustling of feet on grass and lethargically turned her head towards the source, an excuse ready on the tip of her tongue if needed.

Jelena was walking around trying to find something she wanted to do but she didn't know what. Then she saw it, The garden. She gasped and then skipped towards it happily. When she stepped inside she noticed someone else was in there. Hi there she said.

Chris tilted her head to the side as she examined Jelena, an indifferent look plastered across her face. "Hello," she said after a brief pause. She felt herself relax once she saw that Jelena wasn't a teacher or someone annoying that would ask her why she wasn't in class like she was supposed to be.

"HI!"April shouted from the other side of the garden. She ha been watering and maintaining the plants that grew in the garden, it helped relax her and dimmed her emotions. "Normally students are in class at this time. Unless of course you're like me and need psychological help which cab usually be found in this here garden." April wasn't wearing the school uniform. She was wearing jean shorts and a lacy yellow tank top. She sported five bracelets on each of her wrists, all silver and all bearing shiny golden crosses. They clinked as she leaned against the shelves full of empty pots. "But I don't care. Skipping class is healthy for you. If you don't the fun section of your brain will shrivel up, and we don't want that." She grinned and brushed a red strand of hair out of her face.

Chris sighed to herself. Oh great, she thought, a cheery talkative person. She stared at April, at a loss for words. She saw that April wasn't wearing the uniform and felt confused. Wasn't everyone supposed to wear it? "How come you aren't wearing your uniform?" She asked, which was unlike her. Since she despised questions directed to her so much, she had grown a tendency to hate asking for help or questions. Or drawing attention to herself in general. She blew at her bangs in annoyance at herself. Why hadn't she just turned herself invisible so no one would see or bother her? Stupid. She tried to smile at April but found her face in a grimace. I have to work on my expressions, she told herself. She got up and brushed her skirt off. Without another word, Chris started walking away, feeling a twinge of annoyance at herself and the girls, for disturbing her peace. "Looks like I'm going to have to find another place to ditch class," she told herself. She concentrated on the pounding of her sneakers on the hard packed ground, to get control of her haywire emotions.

"Good question. Since I'm not going to class, I don't really see a point in wearing a prissy uniform. Besides, I think a teacher would agree, since this job involves quite a lot of dirt, that my uniform would get pretty dirty, and we wouldn't want that would we." April answered Chris's question. When she saw her grimace, she grinned. "I'm gonna guess you have social troubles. Don't worry, no need to act around me. I'm an expert at personality acting, so I can see right through quote a lot of things." April frowned when Chris started walking away. But, since she knew it would be best for her to allow Chris to walk away and sort out her emotions, she turned back to her work, adding one last sentence which would be flowed by a laugh, "See ya around, and don't get caught!" Laugh. Silence.

Chris turned around when April laughed. She attempted to raise an eyebrow, but had never in her life succeeded. Whenever she tried, both eyebrows just shot up on her forehead, making her look confused or stupid. Or sometimes, a combination of both. She tried to force herself to turn around and keep walking, but some part of her was annoyed by April's know-it-all attitude. She found herself marching right back. "On second thought, I'm going to help you," Chris stated, the statement more of a command. She crossed her arms across her chest and gave April a bored expression. "After all, I've got nothing to do. And if I get caught ditching, I can use you as an excuse." All of her words were blunt and somewhat rude, but Chris liked to think of it this way; Being polite was just deception with pretty packaging. She surveyed the neatly kept garden and wondered what they were supposed to do.

Jelena stood there listening to the two talking. She was shy to talk. She wanted to make friends but she didn't know how to and plus she felt like she was a statue. She wanted to move but couldn't.

April smiled broadly. "You would help? That'd be awesome!" April ignored the fact that her words had been somewhat rude and showed her what to do. "Right now, I'm putting soil in some pots. But I need to water the plants, so could you do that? The watering can is already filled, it's over there." she pointed at a lime green watering can with flowers painted on it. "If you use all the water, the sink is over there, so you can fill it back up. And be careful, it's kind of heavy." April smiled apologetically, "Sorry, I'm kinda bossing you around aren't I?" she returned to her work, and began filling up pots again. After a moment, she realized she wasn't wearing gloves. She slipped on her black gloves and went back to work. Man, she loved the smell of potting soil. She thought it smelled so good, like freshly cut grass, or the smell of leaves as they begin to fall in autumn. She began to hum, as she finished filling pots, and started placing seeds in the pots. April picked up her black sharpie and wrote the names of the flower seeds on the pots in her slightly-cursive-slightly-calligraphic handwriting. Poppy, Anthurium, Allien, Carnation, Freesia She loved working in the garden, it was one place where she could be herself. After planting the seeds and writing the names, she placed them in the sunniest spots she could find, and,for some, the spots slightly shady. She placed a large pot of Star Gazer Lillis and another of Viburnums up in a hanging basket, and hoped for them to flourish up there better than they would on a shelf. (thanks to google for providing names of flowers I have never heard of before but are really pretty
