Kerri was flummoxed. Did that mean Kao dated guys? Did that mean Evan dated guys? She was somewhat disappointed, but didn't know exactly why. It wasn't like she wanted to date Evan or anything, not that she had a chance. "So...does that mean you two only date guys....?" she questioned, perplexed. Realizing what she just said, she shook her head quickly, "Sorry, it really isnt any of my business....."

Evan stares at her for a few minutes before realizing why she's confused. "Oh, I get it. No, um... we just don't date. Especially not girls." He tries to explain, feeling his words go flat. Great. He gives up and stares at the ground. "What about you, do you date girl?"

Letting out a slight sigh of relief, she understood the situation better. She was baffled by his question though, "Uhmm....No..... I've never dated anyone...." She muttered softly. "But I'm not really interested in girls...." She squirmed awkwardly, as if the questioned enveloped her, strangling her. She had never really considered dating that way. She never considered dating at all, because of her solitary nature.

Evan looks at her curiously, wondering why the heck she looks so relieved. What she says next distracts him, though, so he forgets about it. He laughs. "Okay, I understand. We're kinda in the same boat."

(Same here  ) "I guess we are..." Kerri nodded, looking at him. Talking to Evan made her happy, just sitting next to him made her happy. She didn't know why, just that she was happier around him. Maybe it was just that she was talking to someone. She put her hair behind her ear, wondering if talking to her made him feel the same way. "I like talking to you, even though we just met." She let out a giggle. |

Evan laughs. "I like talking to you too." He admits, wondering how many people there are in the world like Kerri. If he had known that... he'd always thought of everyone besides Kao as scum. Now it seems like there's one less person on the 'scum' list. He stares at the clouds and wonders what the heck this means.

Knowing that Evan enjoyed talking with her made her giddy, "We should meet on the roof sometime again!" she exclaimed, looking forward to know him better. There was a slight breeze, it gave Kerri a chill, causing her to shiver. She folded her arms, providing slight warmth.

"Huh." Evan grunts. "Um... if you want to. It'd be cool to come up here at night sometime. I bet we'd be able to see stars." Having grown up in the city he'd never seen very many stars. Even after using his gift to clear away clouds the light prevented him from seeing much.

Kerri nodded in agreement."You can see the stars very clearly up here, it's really nice" she said in a soft voice. Whenever she finished drawing or just got bored of it, she came up here. Sometimes, she even brought up a canvas and an easel up onto the roof to sketch the scenery. She was never able to draw the night sky because it would be too dark to see anything.
